Okay okay lets put aside the hardware decoders for now and pretend phone don't have abhorrent cpu performance in general: how much has SW encoding performance improved. Because last time I checked SW encoding AV1 to compete with HEVC took thousands of more resources where even a DP epyc setup wouldn't be able to reach real time 480p encoding.
