cheap glass tv stand my old landlady threw out a cpl years ago, i put the top plank i salvaged from one of those shitty Wal-Mart 'desk in a box' things an old roommate had and then promptly wrecked in a tantrum (he had to move out after destroying his room and the guy who lived there and owned the house got PISSED), with some cargo tube spacers with that shelf mesh stuff to prevent slipping. im gonna make some adapters with some leftover MDF i have from another project to allow me to make the two side monitors vertically oriented, and then add a headset hanger to it. many ask me but i have to say, it's comfy to game at, played three hours of Quake Champions on it without an issue.

I like mine - 27" Samsung TXP2732 480i CRT that i replaced my long in the tooth Toshiba of a similar size with. im almost too old to be a 'boomer' by Jow Forums standards, and i never fully stopped using CRTs. I'm gonna try and dig up a 9"-10" CRT TV as part of a retirement gift for my brother, along with an old Commodore Vic20 like we had growing up.

Get a bigger desk first. Unlike these neets, if you need to get work done you need a larger work space to study from. You might want a new lamp as well. Get yourself some bookstands so you can keep reference books off to the side on the desk so it looks neat.

Oh you got the new revision with the IHS on it with a 300Mhz OC on board. I have the first RPi 3 that doesn't have the OC and IHS on it and it runs okay. I just use mine as a PiHole for the house over Wifi. I couldn't use it like that being I'm far too used to top-end specs for desktops or my laptops.

does anyone here use a combined VESA + laptop stand? Planning on using this combined with a universal dock to be able to use both my own laptop and my work laptop at home in a uniform way. Most of the stands that I've heard of have issues with the screen arm not being able to hold the weight of the screen properly (I'm gonna have a 27 inch one). I wonder if anyone has any experience with this.
