So I asked a friend to make me a bootable USB disk of Antergos since I've just moved and my connection is shit right now, the fucker just put the files from the ISO on the disk, how the fuck can I make it bootable using a clean install of windows 10 and as little internet as possible?

Sorry senpai, will commit sudoku after getting this shit working, thanks for the suggestion, here's your (you)
>transfer the iso file to the pc, the last step won't work if you don't
>download and run rufus (no installer required)
>plug in the usb stick
>press select next to the boot selection drop menu and find the antergos iso, then press the blue checkmark
>set the other settings that match your pc, that's up to you to find out
>format it
you now have a bootable antergos stick
I don't have the . ISO, only the files from inside the . ISO
Use yumi
Can't download it until tomorrow, I've just moved and all I have are my phone's 2gb weekly data plan
install gentoo
you should save the instructions in notepad then, before the thread gets deleted for being a tech support thread
If I had a way to, I would
I know how to do it, just not in this very specific situation, thanks anyway
Your friend is an idiot. Looks like you will have to wait.
have you tried rebooting your friend? turning them off and turning them back on usually works.
nvm I figured it out
He said it's my fault for using shit software, that his Mac doesn't present this kind of problems
Sorry, but I don't want to turn my friend on
So please, tell me
there is a program called Etcher
although I am pretty sure windows FINALLY has a startup disk creator ootb
Download tinycore onto a different flash drive
Boot tinycore
Plug in antergos flash drive
Read antergos bootloader configs to find the kernel + initrd
kexec into the antergos installer
(Note, I don't actually know if tinycore comes with kexec. But there are other workarounds you can use as long as you've got some working linux bootloader available.)
>every option in the first 3 pages needs some software to be downloaded
Being this retarded must hurt
then grab the files and turn it all into an .iso file with imgburn
Can't you more simply archive with 7zip to an .iso format which all .iso really is.
OP here, after trying some stuff and getting nowhere I've decided to give up and do the right way tomorrow morning, thanks for the help anyway, and have a great night
