You're retarded to use it to begin with.
>Mozilla CEO needs to die.
Actually the last good CEO was fired because he didn't believed in fag marriage.
Chrome has that fuckhueg intrusive pause button when playing videos
how? it doesn't do shit
>was fired because he didn't believed in fag marriage.
He didn't even believe that, he believed the people of California should have the right to decide in a referendum whether they should have fag marriage instead of "elected officials" deciding everything for them. (They didn't want it, but who cares, the supreme court will ram it down everyone's throat anyone, muh rights to a piece of paper and tax break)
So when the majority of voters refused to allow fag marriage, it's apparently the fault of someone who donated a few hundred dollars to some referendum initiative.
idk about shit but it plays movies
but it can't stream them from streaming servicers, R-tard
you can curse on the internet, cunt

sorry, was meant for
There's nothing wrong with that. The video (assuming a sufficient bitrate etc for both) is not going to look any different as a torrented mkv than as a netflix stream or whatever.
Not the person you're replying to, but why would I want to fuck around with config files when I could just use my browser? What is the benefit?
you mean paid ones like shitflix? why would you even watch that
cuz i try to be straight and pay for content i watch, at least when it's possible
>Not the person you're replying to, but why would I want to fuck around with config files when I could just use my browser? What is the benefit?
It's literally two lines and the benefit is you can use an actual media player instead of the in browser one - this way you don't get those stupid overlays.
Lol fuck off with that shit, just to stream videos to mpv MUH SUPERIOR VIEWING METHODS
not sure to what extend but the major browsers seem to use ffmpeg just like mpv however browsers usually don't have hw dec and stuff
is waterfox Jow Forums approved?
such a good goy
I mainly use it for twitch on my laptop as the website is dogshit and my low-ram DDR3 machines chokes on the website. MPV works flawlessly though.
Browsers also don't have as good color management, scalers, etc.
You can also use mpvs other options and caching is way better.
is palemoon still Jow Forums approved?

cringe
>you don't get those stupid overlays
I use Chrome and don't get any overlays.
>usually don't have hw dec and stuff
Chrome /does/ have hardware decoding, but I probably wouldn't care if it didn't because decoding video isn't stressful on modern CPUs.
I severely doubt you would pass an ABX test between browser scaling and mpv scaling.
I'll give you caching- I guess if you have the world's worst internet connection then mpv could have a niche use there. I have basic 80d20u fibre and never need to worry about that.

It's not just about speed. Some sites only let you cache so much. mpv allows you to cache the whole video if you want. Or you can specify an amount. There are a lot of usefule caching and networking options. And being able to use other options available in a media player not available in a browser is worth it alone. And the picture quality difference is noticeable to me on my display.
