only reason intel didn't change the socket yet again this time is because these "new" cpu are the same shit, only with more cores and somehow even worse thermals
they literally didn't make enough changes this time around, and it never really took much for them to make a new socket, so that's pretty impressive in a pretty bad way

I've seen the 9900k reviews, I want to build a 1440p rig

It looks like the 9900k runs hot even on high-end Noctuas so I'll just go with the 2700X

Can the 2700X max out the 2070 or 2080 at 1440p? I don't mind downgrading to 144hz 1080p if its slower
