>just lay it on the carpet
slap a ssd and a 750ti in there and call it a day
youre right but this card dosent work anymore. Thats why i have a new one on the pcpartpicker list
that is a very good suggestion. thanks for that. but im a fag and i like looks. maybe i could change cases though?
sorry, wont work. Dell motherboards have different placement for the standoffs
did not know that. that is very informative. thank u
Consider the following:
>GTX 1050
Significantly better card for 10 extra dollars.
>$70 meme case
Literally why? Why get a pretty case for a cheapo build? Save $30 and get a standard tower. Put that $ elsewhere
>PSU
Find a seasonic. Corsair PSUs are rebranded generics.
>CPU
Maybe think about an i5-4570. But it is more expensive, and I can't suggest anything better than the pentium at $70.
Overall consider not building a PC for $300 seriously it's a bit of a waste.
Also, hey buddy, you need RAM.
go with an athlon 200ge
Can't you get a ryzen processor for that same amount?
There is a thread for that faggot.
That's a pretty terrible deal. The 750 Ti is obsolete now that APUs are just as powerful as it, and 4GB RAM isn't enough for gay men. That's also a dead end platform with limited options for growth in the future.
That would be a far better $350 build and provide you with lots of upgrade options later. You could easily drop in a Zen 2 processor and discrete graphics card later and turn it into a top of the line gaming machine. It also includes an SSD for a boot drive (and you even fit a gayme or two on there), which I consider essential for comfortable desktop use.
Just buy a console.
> His case costs more than his CPU
I don't know what to tell you, user
i changed the case to a Cougar MX330 case with no RGB, and changed the GPU to a GTX 760, upgraded to 8gb of ram too
pcpartpicker.com
updated. Figured i could go $14 over budget
That's still terrible. Why are you buying a dual core CPU on a dead platform?
another piece of useful info
Optiplex 9010 and earlier use standard 20pin atx power
9020 and later use proprietary plug
if you can only spend 250usd your better finding a older office computer from the last 6years for 50-100$ and then putting a modern gpu or second hand decent in it and calling it a day.
I mean 350 at 350 still finding office computer and putting new gpu in it is still best option.
you need like double that amount to make building from scratch worth it imo.
try this one instead
>pcpartpicker.com
Not a bad build desu user
>dead platform of dead platforms
Let me find some LGA 775 shit senpai
>budget build
>wants a fancy meme case
you can fit an extra 4GB of RAM in the budget if you use a cheaper case, see
>pcpartpicker.com
and it's a lot more useful too
the dual core is fine if it has hyperthreading
Terrible build
There is
>>>/pcbg/ for that too
>pcpartpicker.com
a 3rd gen i7 office computer would blow that Pentium out of the water.
fuck off
i was a poorfag op. i walked into a mom and pop pc shop and pulled a brand new slim line dell or lenovo, doesn't matter off the shelf with an 8th gen i7 and walked the fug out. best pc i've ever used for free 99. bought a used gpu. things a beast.
go back to /v/ and never come back
>has $350 for a gaming rig
>complains about aesthetics
How can you be this fucking stupid while being this poor? Seriously?
This guy is giving decent advice, I found prebuilts with a 4770, and 16gb ram for $150. Slap in a $50 ssd and a $150 gpu (GTX 1060 used) and you have a decent workstation that performs well:
16gb ram
GTX 1060
i7
500gb ssd
for $350, how could you even complain?
Compare it to your stupid pcpartpicker garbage that is valued at not even $100 the day you build it on a 2nd hand market like ebay.
Appreciate your effort, but he's still much better off going with a $200 recycled office PC that will blow what you linked away in benchmarks, and he can throw in something like a 970 or 1060 used in there which would blow away what you linked, especially for gaming.
They have a general for this shit.
>gaymes
save another $200 and you can get something actually decent.
That wifi adapter looks bad. Buy something with an antennae
