They've made a mistake with 280$ MSRP, it's actually 240$.

They keep pushing the core clocks (and therefore power) without doing anything to memory subsystem. Even the RX 480 was severly limited by memory bandwidth. My RX 480 clocked at 1300MHz is about as fast as factory overclocked RX 580s because I tweaked the timings and bumped the memory clocks, it also uses about as much power as stock RX 480.
Both 580 and 590 would be way more interesting if they had similar clocks to 480 at lower Vcore and faster memory out of the box.

If you are poor you buy amd.
If you are a real gamer and know tech you buy Intel.

The snake oil is not ray tracing. It's 36 cores instead of MINIMAL required spec of 1000. Trashtracing instead of ACTUAL ray tracing.
