Owning physical copies of books is a meme that should have died out years ago.

its a lot more difficult to get distracted while reading through a book physically than digitally

The only advantage is that you can read with no power/pc nearby. And maybe you'll get a bit less eye strain, and some other meme shit like "the feel of the book". But besides that, reading digitally is better in many ways. You can customise the font, change the background colour, have a bigger reading medium, not need any reading lights, etc.

You should consider suicide.

I'm suspect of e-readers, I can't put my finger on it, but it just doesn't feel right.

that C++ book kinda fucking sucks
I got it at the time because I still had dialup in 2006 and it came with a compiler CD.

I have a literal library of books, half of them are in my garage, I'm not going out there to take a picture.

mind your own damn business, get your own damn books.

I love my books though.

>owning bloat botnet digital books

>it's a book about computers
>i'm gonna read it cover to cover like a paperback instead of doing the exercises which REQUIRE A COMPUTER

Physical books will outlive computers.

why do you need a programming book to last more than a single read through

key words: should have.

consumer displays are still meant for displaying raster graphics and not text. ebook formatting still leaves a lot to be desired.

unless the book is a glorified tutorial pretty hard to read one just once.

thats what programming books are yes

>doing exercises requires a computer

you read some shitty books then. reference my whole library of programming books even over a decade after the first read.

I would make a similar image for another reason but it'd be against the rules.

I haven't read any programming books because I already know how to program
what else are they there for if not to teach?

neocities is still quite alright

98.8% of gentoomen are useless

Learn python 3 the hard way

>Learn C the hard way
Neck yourself fucking zoomer.

Maybe if you don't back your shit up.

What's wrong with it?

how are pdf files botnet?

I can traverse the books faster with my hands and better appreciate and absorb the contents better because they are of a tangible media.

>implying dril isn't for underages

Jow Forums has a relationship with another c book

...

it's common for hackers to target adobe reader and the like. Even browser will display your pdf for you.

I prefer physical books because I highlight and underline shit and scribble notes in the margins, then I usually summarize the chapter on its title page w/ bullet points so I don't have to read it again. I prefer this over .txt/wiki notes.
