Report: Microsoft’s enterprise products covertly gather personal data on users
Why would the enterprise market care? I want as much telemetry as possible for business.
>everyone worries about google spying on them
>it was actually excel the whole time
what a twist
Microsoft wants your sweet, sweet data. They're going to get it no matter what. Not much to be done or said about it. Just don't use their products. Don't give them your money.
Corporate espionage
It's okay when we do it.
kek. It's not your business getting the data...unless you pay for the data, separate from office 365.
This.
Why do you think Micro$oft still pours money into "edge" and "bing" even though they're trash compared to Google? Edge and Bing can't hope to replace Google, but Google can't hope to replace Excel or Word. So Micro$oft is doubling down on the data they can get.
bing can easily replace google because google censores their results to much, if I want to find shit im almost always better off on bing then google.
>office
wow it's fucking nothing
spybot disables office telemetry anyway
If you are using a Micros**t product you should be fully expecting your data to be stolen.
wew
>Without any documentation
It's for the best, MS can't write and keep docs updated to save their life.
>Analytics about their software products
This is standard and not surprising at all?
>Microsoft’s enterprise products covertly gather personal data on users
More like covertly overt.
Microsoft shares its sweet telemetry with me and its absolutely redpilled. If they need to take some personal data from enterprise end users to recoup costs, I'll feed as much as they want.
>covertly
I thought this was admitted on their terms of service.
Imagine paying for something and still get spied on, yikes.
t. microcuck shill
where's the proof that you as a manager of an organization get to see the telemetry?
>Google can't hope to replace Word
Why would they want to? Nobody uses word outside of elementary school classrooms.
Have you ever been in a high school or college before? How about a place of business? They all use Microsoft Office.
Read the fucking ToS/User Agreement you retards. I can guarantee you it tells you it collects data, otherwise hello lawsuit. I do love how people care if Microsoft does it, but are okay when their phone collects your fingerprint, face mapping, where you go, where you are, and a shit ton of other information.
>otherwise hello lawsuit
I doubt the US has any law that forbids their corporate overlords from doing this.
Are you stupid? Facebook has been sued at least twice, including once this year for collecting cell & text data. Class Action Lawsuits are a thing for a reason.
