nothing will come close to it’s longevity and value.

>and now sit on a 5ghz 8700K with HT off for supreme gaming experience

Why be poor?

This. I have a rig here with 9900k but usually I'll just load up my 2500k.

wow that extra jump from 180 on skylake to 195 on coffee lake was sure worth the $1200

anime pic source pls

I have 2600k and 2600 from 2011 and still best cpu's ever for many years. Next cpu i would buy it will be ryzen.

2500k bros truly we are blessed. I'll retire mine next year.

They're going to be supplanted next year.

>sandy bridge is competitive against coffee lake
>ryzen can barely match devil's canyon and skylake

lmao. amd fanboys really are the dumbest people on Jow Forums

My wife Tsugumi is so cute

What does it feel like to grope some boobs?

my gf marika is physically dominating your wife

Y-san please tell your GF to stop harassing my wife.

That's very unlikely. Progress is slowing down so the useful life of CPUs is expected to get longer.

i was thinking of upgrading from my 2500k to ryzen 2600 but i just cant make myself waste that 400euros

>2012
>dad decides to buy a new computer because my 9 years old P4 shitbox is barely usable
>want a machine with a 2500k but they cost too much
>get a used one with a i5 760 instead because I knew jack shit about CPU generations back then
Overall it was a good PC and my dad didn't get ripped off but damn did I miss out on that sweet 2500k.

I just put to retirement my 2500K today. He was a faithful companion and rocked through the years but he had to go. I will always remember this little guy like I remember my old E8500.

What are you replacing it with

still on my i7 2600k
it's handling things pretty well even after all these years

A Ryzen 2700X. I kind of believe the 8c/16t trend is going to be here for a long time.

i probably would’ve waited for zen 2
