People shit on Mint but its literally the only distro that has never broken on me (and i've used it the longest too). I've used Xubuntu, Debian, Suse, Void, Arch, and Fedora in the past. Something would inevitably break, sometimes after the first update or sometimes months after an install. Eventually I just reinstall Mint and I never get headaches again.
