>relatives coming over for thanksgiving
>don't want them to see my hentei
>hide the entire downloads folder
>go to unhide it
>show hidden files
>It's gone
I fucking hate windows
Relatives coming over for thanksgiving
kys pathetic virgin neet
sage
FUck you normalfag
>Use Windows
>Things go wrong
Didn't see that coming.
Something's reeeal fishy about this story
>customize all my favorites
>download folder on separate hard disk
>update windows....
>the original downloads folder is back in my favorites
>delete
>go a few months normally
>update windows
>it's back again
What a shit OS.
I FOLLOWED THE GEEK SQUAD DIRECTION TO RESTORE IT AND NOW ALL MY FILES ARE GONE WTF
FUCK FUCK FUCK I HATE WINDOZE
why didn't you make a .zip file with a password?
>stores images/porn in a fucking downloads folder
Brought it on yourself faggot
>letting anyone near your computer
Just turn it the fuck off and don't let anyone use it.
you're a little bitch
I save all my porn straight to the desktop, and just scream at anybody who goes near my computer
retard
>being stupid
>it's the OS fault
Every time
i mean im not sure what you expected from windows
you have 2 options
either go to properties and set location
or delete the original downloads folder and create a symlink in its place (not shortcut, use cmd: mklink)
>use windows the way it was meant to be used instead of doing wacky workarounds
>has worked fine for the past 10 years (been using for 18 years but I stopped doing dumb shit 10 years ago)
On windows 10, too.
>not using your os' full potential
>need to run script every hour on linux
>write some program that is always on that runs script
>saves how long its been since it last ran script
>gets out of sync with the hours
>have to manually start it if computer is restarted, or if it crashes
>"I fucking hate Linux. I should be able to use it to its full potential."
You do a wacky workaround on any OS and you're going to run into problems
>being too retarded to know what a cron job is
>Relatives searching your computer
You need to be 18 or older to be here
>the downloads folder
Which actual downloads folder did you "hide" (unc path please) or are you referring to the shortcut with a clsid trailing the name which you have in the image?
What do you mean by hide, aka what did you actually do?
It will be in c:\users\YOUR USER NAME\downloads
Yep, that's exactly what I was trying to convey.
I right clicked the inside of the downloads folder not the link
It's not
gnu+linux doesn't have this problem
right click it
look under attributes
unclick hidden
Did you show hidden files first?
Maybe windows ate them.
