It works. Runs vidya. Requires little maintainance. Leading Desktop OS so supports almost everything. Things don't break for obscure reasons requiring research (often). Lastly, I'm a game developer so I use the OS that most gamers are going to be using so I can spot out bugs specific to it.

I use to run linux on desktop, but I save so much more time now that it's impractical to use it from a productivity standpoint.

But some things still drive me crazy. For example, "Settings" and "Control Panel". They both exist. They even link back and forth to each other in various sections. WHY??? Now I have to go hunting around whenever I am looking for a specific setting because I don't know if it's under Settings or Control Panel. Half the time it's faster to just look up the registry key on the internet.

yea, you're right. it was much too much work for me. Linux is so hard. It's so hard to follow software documentation and type things into the computer. It's so hard to open up a command line once in a while. Gosh. I guess I just wanted to use the programs I need instead of figuring out some installer. Congrats user, you got me. I just wanted to use my computer to, you know, do things with, and damn, it's all just so hard and scary I kept with windows my entire career. Forgive me.

Having options is good. Everyone is different. I have been working on PCs since 1996 when I did warranty work on Toshiba laptops right after I got my A+ Cert in high school. Now I have my MCSE and masters in computer science. I use Win10 Professional and an iPhone8 because I like them, even if they are for dummies. Don't care. I like shit simple.
