Intel CPUs are backdoored and have dozens of intel-exclusive vulnerabilities, so they're much less secure. The fact that current fixes for most of these vulnerabilities will reduce performance by over 20% and some need hyperthreading disabled means you'll get less performance on over 500$ Intel CPUs than on 200-300USD AMD ones.

nVidia drivers are not included by default in Linux, are buggy for some cards, are a clusterfuck to work with and don't support wayland. Your only "just works" options are RX/Vega cards.

Because $100 within the context of your total system cost is actually very good for 20% more performance. Using ryzen right now for gaming is a dumb move. We will see how much this changes with Zen 2, though.

Are you okay? AMD have PSP too. Furthermore, you can actually run ME_Cleaner to remove most vulnerabilities/backdoors in Intel ME (You cannot remove all, and some vulnerabilities will survive ME_Cleaner so you need to update in some cases); you can't do that on AMD PSP.
