sure I guess

8.1 is the best

Windows 10 LTSC you hoe

I'm gonna try it eventually. Maybe I should try it in a VM today. Is it faster and lighter than 8.1?

>no lxss
any workarounds on this shit? it's the only thing that's keeping me using Pro

I'll install it right after I upgrade some parts in my PC next week, I'll have to clear out the LTSB install due to the curren motherboard's drivers anyway

Not yet, since LTSC is supposed to be on stable and low resource usage machines, it is highly stripped. Might take a while to implement Linux SubSystem, if ever.

Fast as shit, and about the same resource usage

If you are not using all of your RAM, you are wasting it

>dumb people who insist on using windows 7
>retards who switched to windows 10

Baste in red pills

wsl works in ltsc

But how did you get your ram usage so low on idle.

For something to take ~400 MiB for doing nothing that's pretty bloated.

Fuck that chink motherfucker Hiro.

>Windows Embedded
>385MB of RAM used while idle
That's terrible.

>385MB
And you call it non bloat? Is it trolling?

It uses more resources but feels about the same. I haven't tested on really low-end hardware though. It might be slightly heavier. It certainly has more processes running and uses more RAM than 8.1 Embedded or even LTSB

Yeah it does in LTSC. Just enable WSL in the optional features and then download & install one of the packaged distros manually

>I haven't tested on really low-end hardware
works fine here
t. L7500 (mobile ulv c2d) and 4gb ddr2

I have 32gb of ram on my LTSC based system and with the right tweaking I hit around 0.9GB idle

*thrashes disk*
*Takes 10 minutes to boot*
Nothing personnel, kid.

Windows gay

How do you get LTSC for free

literally 4x more than debian/ubuntu ffs OP 400 MB idle? B L O A T

download the iso + local kms server

Cringe and kys

Thank you based user.

Gb2 Jow Forums thief fags

Can you give more information about this? I want to set it up but I don't know where to start

Extreme bloat

distrowatch.com/weekly.php?issue=20181119#netbsd

>I found that, when logged into the twm environment, NetBSD used about 130MB of RAM. This included kernel memory and all active memory. A fresh, Full install used up 1.5GB of disk space.

Follow the guide on reddit. Activate with kms38

It may be ok with resource management now, but the UI is still the same fucking disaster it's always been.

rip 4chen

temple os runs on a 2mb binary and has a flight simulator, come back to me when windows 10 runs under 100mb
