>Comic Fake >14++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++nm >TWICE THE BINGBUS >100500 GORRILION >OVER 9000 TDP Inturd in a nut. The ride will NEVER stop until the VERY end.
>dual bingbus so, two dies glued together? i wonder why they only show the bottom part of the cpu on those photos :^) lmao
Grayson Rodriguez
More like "two latencies doubled together".
Easton Hughes
Sounds fake, Broadwell went up to 12C with the ringbus but that's Broadwell, not Skylake which is higher IPC and has different cache layout, which can go up to much higher frequencies so maybe the ringbus is already saturated at 8C
Adam Richardson
>Sounds fake Yes, ComicFake indeed. Same as was ScumFake, CannedFake, BabyFake, CovfefeFake and etc. They're all 14++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++nm fakes of long-time-promised 10nm.
Colton Lewis

Definitely fake. ICL-S engineering samples with final silicon have already been leaked.
Henry Hill
>two dies glued together i9 9xxx is already that. Same with latest Xeons.
Austin Morales
They were dual core mobile parts weren't they? Anyway as said, bing bus can go to 10cores in a single ring. Ivybridge also had a triple twisted ringbus that was pretty good for 15cores. Comic lake is probably just another skylake +2+2+2 cores. Its multiring busses with buffer stops that are the problem.
Carson Cook
>Implying a fucking monolithic mesh of bingbuses was ever a good thing >Ever
Jfc so it's gonna have latetency issues like Zen 1 launch and Intel housefire 14nm? Jfc this is like rambus + p4 + housefire ati all over again Intel are fucked lol I literally predicted this ages ago their slap dash shit aside duel bungbus is gonna be bloody aweful
Christopher Scott
>currytech >alegedly in title Stopped there
Caleb Flores
>it's gonna have latetency like Zen 1 way worse
>bloody aweful Are you a Newfie?

MAKE MOAR LAKES
Owen Thomas
How can it have worse latency then early Zen? Will it be even more memory sensitive lol Intel's advantage of being able to use lower speed ram with slack timings is gone their interconnects must be slow/laggy as fuck
>ayymd = moar corez?! >Intel = moar nm!? Love this timeline they are going to be shit on by 7nm and 5nm phones hahahahahha

MOAR BINGBUSES, MOAR MESHES OF BINGBUSES
Blake Harris
>How can it have worse latency then early Zen? See this pic? Now imagine that Intel suddenly became a constant 150~180 on that chart, from beginning to end. That's what's going to happen. And Zen already improved drastically (stable below 60) even in Zen+, while Zen 2 s going to have at least twice as better latency than Zen+ has.
>Zen 2 s going to have at least twice as better latency than Zen+ has. That is entirely contingent on Zen 2 having 8c CCXs and not 2*4c designs, which is hoped and broadly assumed but not actually verified yet. 8c CCX designs will also presumably have higher inter-core latency floors (outside SMT intra-core ping-pong) and potentially more visible lack of intra-CCX latency uniformity. There is also a good chance that the discrete/non-integrated memory controller will hurt DRAM latencies to a measurable extent, though the (again, presumed) 32 MB L3 per compute die should markedly improve hit rates on moderate-size working sets compared to the current 8 MB local pools.
Yes we're going combine bingbus shit yields plus even more latency.

Sorry schlomo but latencies will only go down from now on, as stated during the Rome 64 core presentation. it's Intel who's gonna get fucked by latencies from now on.
Dominic Robinson
>That is entirely contingent on Zen 2 having 8c CCXs and not 2*4c designs Not at all. Infinity Fabric's design and pipelines themselves were reworked thoroughly. Latency improvements will be even if it's 2+2 or 3+3.
>it's Intel who's gonna get fucked by latencies from now on. There's nothing to suggest that beyond a literally who website with a non-source. The claim gets dumber when Intel has shown to use a single ringbus beyond 8 cores.

Well memed, but not well argued.

Do you even know how Zen/IF do coherence? They keep a probe filter table/home agent colocated with the memory controller. If Zen 2 keeps the table with the memory controller and uses 4c CCXs, that means that intra-die inter-CCX requests will either need to make 2 cross-substrate hops or that there will be secondary probe filters on the compute dies, slowing regular inter-die cache fills. 8c CCXs is the only design that allows any intra-die fills to occur without going through a home agent of some sort.
Gavin Gutierrez
Amusingly enough, that's what Inturd's R&D actually truly and absolutely unironically believe in, because it's these exacts security holes which allowed for game devs to essentially cheat and obtain much higher performance on Inturd poocessors than the AMD equivalents, for almost a decade. Now these free loopholes are being "patched" (closed) out and thus everything returns to the way it ACTUALLY SHOULD'VE BEEN FOR THE START, which is - parity with AMD at the very least and a loss to AMD at the worst. Meanwhile, AMD didn't cheat jack shit even once with their designs, even if FX was utter shit.

Intel WTF are you doing?

Pic related pretty much tells you all you need to know about Comet Lake.
On a related note, naming something Comet Lake implies that the core is going to be insanely hot and needs basically a fucking lake to cool it. Forget industrial chillers, you're going to need to secure freshwater lakes to cool these processors now.
This is going to lead to world wars user. WORLD WARS!
Comets are basically rocky snowballs you retard. Not denying that Zen 2 will likely rape it though.
Blake Rivera
Raja’s primary agenda has always been more about sneaking western IP into his literal shithole country (actually digging holes would be an upgrade) than making good products.

If there were NSFW board variants for everything still on Jow Forums, how long do you think 4channel would last?

Just jump to Apocalypse Lake already, this is painful to watch.
Camden Lewis
Why would they think this is a good idea? No air cooling solution would be able to handle this and all 360mm rads will be in the 90s. As threatening as zen 2 is, this is asinine, they have completely lost it.
Meh, not getting all the AMD fanposting. > needed a PC > bought a 4790K + 16gb ram + mobo for 100$ > scores 480 single in CPU-Z > with the case + fan + psu I paid ~200$ for the whole build > it destroys, obliterates any Ryzen 2 CPU in single thread, office tasks, virtualization, gaming

Sandy bridge was the last good intel cpu line, anything intel after 2011 is a scam.

Exactly because of that I was ignoring Inturd ever since.
Except Skylake's the last shitform to support Windows 7. This is ComingFake, still same non-Windows 7 garbage shit as Baby, Covfefe, Brickwell, and etc.

>inb4 AMD makes a CPU with SIX bingbus
Alexander Lewis
AMD doesn't bingbus, that's why it's not affected by Meltdown to begin with.
