This might actually be a valid criticism if the Ryzen platform was like 5+ years old but seeing as the oldest motherboards are only two years and most vendors give at least 3 years this just isn't an issue.
Especially since this patched last year so even in 4 or 5 years time the patch will still have been completed and available to download.
