Anything I missed? I'm mostly worried about temps in that case. Other than watercooling, what options are there?

It's cheap

Bump

>cheap

linux is free though

and a pile of shit

Yeah and I'll install both. Trust me it won't blow a hole in my pocket. I'll donate $100 to ubuntu if that makes you feel better

Why would you spend $100 on a case?

It looks gooooood

That looks fuck huge
am i high or does that look like the size of a refrigerator

hope you bought a different PCI-e riser cable because the one that Phanteks includes is fucking PCI-e 2.0

Yeah but... wouldn't you rather have a 2600X instead of 2400? You got 2 less cores and less clockspeed just for a pretty case... stupid IMO

You're probably looking at the shift X, which yeah is skyscraper tall

No GPU, but I'll keep that in mind
No GPU

I guess I'll overclock if the thermals allow it. Probably won't..

what do you need 450w for?

why the plant meme?

Uh later expansion?

DESU I just got the first thing on pcpartpicker

Oh. If I was you I would've gotten an RX 470 / 570, 2600x, half as much ram (8 gigs has never failed for me and its the easiest thing to upgrade), worst case possible, and half as much SSD.
That should be only a little more pricey but gotten you way better game performance, if thats what matters for you.

But what you got is pretty good and you can always through in a GPU.

But my logic is, you can always add more RAM or HDD, but you can't just add another CPU, so you should get a strong CPU from the start.

I wouldn't think OP would want to use the iGPU for long, so factor a dGPU, some psu degradation and a few extra drives and I'd say 450w is reasonable?

Nice bending machine

It's good logic. I'll think about it, man

Ubuntu confirmed proprietary shillware

Why did you buy the home version of Windows?

blah blah a thread died for this also never buy windows, I don't care if it's free or they're paying you don't buy it

Pro doesn't offer any advantages for gaming.

>buys 16gb ram
>doesn't buy discrete gpu
>buys aftermarket cpu cooler which is only slightly better than stock
>pays for winshit
fuckin lol

r8 my shit budget build
uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/N2QG6s

I can make the same build for $600

also windows is $3 on ebay for a key

I'd also do 8gb of ram unless you need 16gb? Do you run a lot of virtual machines, lol.

$80 on a 450w? lol

You could get a cheaper mobo, you could probably skip the CPU cooler, idk. i wasn't gonna get one at first.

Go with a smaller SSD and a HDD and you'll get 4tb + SSD for the same price

i haven't even bought a key, you can easily remove the watermark.

>uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/N2QG6s
That's quite budget m8, you might want a slightly move expensive motherboard idk. You really shouldn't cheap out on motherboard or power supply.

I way overspent on my motherboard in 2012 but it's still kicking fine in my gaming pc.

My GPU failed, and my expensive ass seasonic PSU failed twice but their warranty was so good they replaced it and sent me a refurbished unit. Too bad I didn't get a new unit twice.

i've had cheap gigabyte mobos before and they're pretty good quality for the price. never had an issue with them. my am3 matx board is still going strong after the best part of a decade.
that being said, i don't wanna fry my shit up.

>dirt near fan intake/exhaust
>a plant you would need to water on electronics
I know it's bait but REEEEEEEEEE

depends on what you need your pc to do.
my latest build was:
pcpartpicker.com/list/yRVG6s
notice i'm only using 16GB RAM, and i'm leaving lots of room to upgrade and add storage later. this is my BUDGET build... just wish i had the money...

Will an i5 4670k bottleneck a 2080ti at 2560x1440?

Am I going to need to upgrade my fucking MOBO and CPU?

plant is plastic

I thought that router was your bed

> skyscraper
It could be a Heliport

Too tall. For what purpose? I'm more into cubic shit.

it's not perfect, had to change a few colors but it still works
