awesome and openbox
the rest is shit for ricing neets and pretend-coolhaxxors

EXWM is the only true choice

rio

>What is the best wm
XFCE
>and why is it dwm?
it ain't dwm

just discuss in the /sm/

XFCE is a DE.

it is also a window manager

You mean xfwm?

I mean whatever that comes with xfce

The window manager is called xfwm.

Hail 2bwm

>2bwm
this.

Whatever one that's good for you is the best.

where to cop that color scheme famalingus?

What's so good about 2bwm?

Yes, dwm.exe is the best.

I like i3.

Ratpoison for just werks, the other tiling wm are a meme

the best wm is no wm
delete x

how did u post this cuntfucker

ya

xfwm or openbox. Tiling wms are memes which are only useful on tablets.

You spelled xmonad incorrectly.

Dwm is the best

what's good about openbox? I did a bit of messing around with it but I feel like I'm missing something

awesome is literally dwm but for ricing neets and pretend-coolhaxxors

>dwm
> uses xlib
>best

>he still uses xorg
sway master race

it's VERY flexible but
1 - isn't updated for xcb [while awesome is]
2 - it's window buttons are rather ugly but that doesn't matter if you hide decorations by default
if you're a gentoo man, it really shouldn't be used nowadays because of 1
if you're your mom because of 2, in which case i'd give her xfce cos xfwm's default window frame is nice and pretty, also buttons are not stupid smol

xfwm like he already told ya

gayland is only usable in gnome, where it makes mpv micro stutter (sway doesn't but is anal)

KDE is getting close on Wayland too. No stutter, nice and smooth.

eat shit and die

dumb wangtard

Can I enjoy and use dwm if I have no programming knowledge?

No. You configure it by editing a header file and recompiling.

yes man
All you need to do is memorize a few keyboard shortcuts

i use it and i have 0 programming knowledge

I was talking more about configuring it, but thanks. I'll try it out and see how it goes

you at least need helloworld-tier C knowledge

this guy is a niggerfaggot
even configuring is no problem

follow this
wiki.debian.org/Dwm

The config.h has comments

>dwm
>enjoy
boy are you in for a surprise

OP font?

he's gonna love the simplicity

>no xdg-decoration support
How do gnometards live with themselves?

>xdg-decoration
wat

i think that's from the website

The wayland protocol that everyone except Gnome uses and refuses to implement.
gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/issues/217

just say server side decorations faggot

It's an upstream protocol now.

>the idiotic REEEEEing from that reeetard VS the composed on point explanation gnome guy
how can non-gnome-lets even compete

Enjoy having no decorations for mpv or any sdl application.

haha i take that back

>muh decorations
you're such a poofta

>SSD KDE protocol
That's not this what this is. This is the xdg-decoration protocol which is upstream and part of Wayland protocols. GNOME not implementing this is ignoring what the Wayland devs have decided on.

you missed the point

why do people still use gnome even

I'm not sure what your point is then. The screenshot is from that thread, but it was addressing a different topic.

i mean realistically xfce should be THE lunix de as kde krashes and the others are memes

icewm, windowmaker
the only real choices
lots of features without actually being bloat
both are super light on resources, it just comes down to personal preference for use

>more xlib garbage
into the trash it goes
