You can borrow the optic drive from another PC in your house?

Take your 2 IQ points, rub them together, and hope it makes a spark.

Don't have another computer in the house, this is the case

>what do I do?
It clearly says you need to insert a system disk

Just wanted to game lol but I don't blame you, I am dumb

But it doesnt have anywhere to put it on, it just has usb ports. Do I need to buy some sort of special usb?

If you had installed Gentoo the first time around this would not be an issue.

but it doesn't have any Gentoo ports

Jow Forums is not your personal tech support. How about you fuck off back to /v/. By the way, your hard drive is toast. Get fucked, kiddo.

I'm rather rusty on this, this setup has 4 IRQ errors at once? The Multimedia Device and Network Controller are both mapped to 10 as an example. I haven't done anything regarding IRQ since the 90s so I'm forgetting a fair bit of what I used to know.

you can put a disk image on a usb flash drive and boot it as if irt were a CD but it may be beyond the scope of your ability, as it requires the ability to operate Google, and drag-and-drop a file from one place to another. You may also have to run a single program. Better leave it to a professional.

You can order a USB operating system here

That doesn't sound hard, thanks user.
Thanks user will do

If you have a friend that has a pc, make a bootable usb with it. If not, good luck.

I can't buy something that reads as a disk player?

If that's the case, just buy a fucking optical drive. They aren't expensive user.

>old as fuck PC
might as well throw it in the trash can.

What kind though? I was googling them and they seem to work on laptops only? Where can I install it on a case
Its old but I bought a rx 560 I know not great but yeah

get one of those external cd drives

how old are you? how poor are you? where the fuck do you live, that you can't find a disk reader?
also, what mobo are you using?
>USB 1.1
>rx 560
how the hell does that even work?

also, to me it looks like your MBR is broken or something. did you install windows? if so, what version?

Is this bait? Why the fuck are you looking for a laptop optical drive when you have a desktop? Just throw everything away.

I have a PC with the same bios. Just use a gentoo usb and ill work.

You dont have an operating system?

user, usb 1.1 was outdated in 2000. Are you telling me you're trying to install a modern graphics card in a pre-2000 pc? What the fuck

Honestly I have no clue, a person gave me his mobo(mostly his help) he built it for me and gave me the mobo
I had an old pc with the same mobo I have right now, it had windows 7 installed.
If possible

You can map more than one device to an IRQ port now.

Download the Windows 10 media creation tool and make an install USB stick on another machine.

>Honestly I have no clue
take a pic of the screen right when booting, before you see the stuff in your first post.

Put me in the screencap

>disk boot failure
>LBA something
>it had windows 7 installed
IIRC, you had to change some settings in these old mobos to make big HDDs work, but I don't remember well what was it.

>If possible
No. First of all you probably dont have a pci-e slot. Secondly your psu is probably not powerful enough to support the gpu. Even if you hypothetically did have a motherboard and psu that could support it, whatever ancient cpu is in that thing will completely bottle neck your rx. Theres no point. You really should have researched this before spending your money on a gpu

It's SATA. It probably has a PCI-E slot, since PATA stuck around longer than AGP.

have you tried restarting?

could be the old sys32 virus

OP, go into BIOS and take a picture of your system information tab. (where it shows the processor.)

Also, take a picture of the inside of the case. If there's a model number on the motherboard, get a picture of that.

You're basically asking a dog to pilot a plane

Please help, so this is what appears when I turn on the pc, I know I have to install gentoo but the tower doesnt seem to have molex ports so I cant put any disks on it does have like 1 proprietary apple porte though, what do I do?
