Why are the Futaba and Burichan themes not included as stock options?

Is it possible to increase the size of a mascot without making the image blurry? I tried setting the height in px, but even if I set it to the original resolution of the image it comes out blurry. It seems like it downscales the image and then upscales it again.

However mascots do not load on NSFW boards

Btw I emailed GitHub Support and they changed my forked version of OneeChan into a standalone version since I am maintaining it now and the old version is unmaintained, and I didn't want to migrate over and make a new repo. It was pretty awesome of them, it was dealt with in about 3 hours or less.

They weren't in the original OneeChan I forked if they are not in there. I can work on adding them in. Do you have an exported version of those themes I can use as a base to add to the script?
I'm not sure, I'd assume that the dpi is off for the mascots. If it's not user error I'll have to take a look at it, but so far I haven't personally run into any issues in that regard. Feel free to post an issue on the GitHub.

Scratch that. I restored my settings from an old export and the don't hide the mascot in the catalog setting didn't get taken properly.
Works fine after going in and unchecking it.

Unfortunately no. I've never gotten around to fiddling with custom themes. I mostly like it for the mascots, but having the old 2chan themes (as opposed to the newer Yotsuba themes) would be nice.

That's because they are super high resolution. Go to the OneeChan settings cogs in the header > mascots > select mascot > edit > downscale only > apply > save
That should fix it. Not too sure how to do that natively in the script css atm.

It's critical that you don't upload the super high resolution to imgur. This increases bandwidth usage substantially and the client is going to rescale it anyway.

You should be able to set width and height values in the image entries there and it'll scale it properly. But don't rely on client side scaling. It's wasteful

Until I am more familiar with the script I will continue doing the current method for now. When I figure it out I will apply it to all the mascots I add/have added. I apologize for it not being done as well as it could be at the moment.

300px is a sane default width for bascots as that's the same size as your sidebar. The mascots uploaded to imgur shouldn't be greater then 400px in width.

Pretty sure only like 2 commits were spelling fixes because I fucked up the link for the auto updating.

The other mascots that were there before also have some examples set.

I don't want to start messing with them quite yet, just want to have a version that has a few bugs fixed and has new themes and mascots added to it. Like I said I'll be taking a more serious look at some of this stuff soon. If you want, you can submit a new pull request fixing it.

This is some pretty dumb "updated" version

There were other things in the script itself that needed to be updated, not just the header. The first release was just using 4chanx stuff and then I cleaned it up. But there was more to change than just updating the header.

I still can't find what you are talking about, about 40 of your commits are just changing "nebukazar" to "KevinParnell" and changing the version number.
I mean, I would understand if you only wanted to steal the project but are you at least going to add something new? Adding mascots is pointless when there is already a menu to add your own mascot.

What's the point of having the sidebar? It literally only shows the mascot which you can have overlapping posts, are there any other functionalities/items that can be added to it?

It's just for aesthetic purposes. I like how it creates a larger right margin for posts so it doesn't fill my entire screen.

Yeah, just click on the mascot you want and then click save. If it doesn't update, make sure other mascots aren't selected.

I meant like if you have multiple mascots selected and you're browsing a thread, if there was a way to cycle through those you've selected without refreshing the page/settings.

Hey OP, I'm using slightly bigger fonts than average and I have to edit onee-chan after every update manually to fix that. I don't expect it to look flawlessly on my special snowflake setup, but could you please at least move the links a bit to the left? (anchored to the buttons on the left or something). Thanks.

I added it because you offered the mascot, but you never gave it a name and reverse image search didn't reveal much so I just did my own thing with it. I'm sorry you don't like the name, you're free to rename it or tell me what it is called and I'll rename it in the next update.
My fork is actively maintained and will be maintained. It has done a few bug fixes already and will be working on more in the future as well as eventual feature updates when I learn the code base and JS more. It has already had a new theme added to it as well as some new mascots. It also has auto updating implemented as well. Also justing doing @match doesn't quite do it because there were some things hardcoded in the script that I had to change as well. Also GitHub thought it was different enough and maintained enough from the original unmaintained repo that they detached the fork and made it a standalone repository.

I don't believe so atm, but it might be something I could implement in the future, or if someone knows more about how to do something like that they could create a pull request. If you want, you can make a feature request on the GitHub issues page.

Sure I could, but it's set to this size for a reason - I like it that way. It's just the fact that a link overlaps one button in settings.

All you needed to do was add the 4channel includes to the existing OneeChan. You don't need this retards version. He'll whine about how he also changed some CSS code but he doesn't even know what it does. I just updated the headers and included the 4channel links. All you need to do to get existing OneeChan working. And you don't need Ponyfag trash.

Welp, after years of using onee-chan I noticed the custom css box under theme edition menu. This solves the issue for me.

Fair enough, you shouldn't have to go out of your way to make the script work properly for you. Although judging from this post you were able to solve it and it's just done for a per user basis. I'm glad you were able to fix it. Looks like no issues or pull requests are needed.
