Kotlin only looks and feels like java when written poorly. It's meant to allow for an easy transition, the Java-y feel disappears once you actually start using it properly.

Flutter is shit. compared to native java it's slower and laggy, only slightly better than react native in terms of cpu utilization and battery drain, which, again means it's shit.

Kotlin is shit. it compiles slower than molasses, has up to the performance of java but no better. You can't even convert kotlin to java like you can java to kotlin, it's only one way. It's a bunch of syntactic sugar for people already indoctrinated to the java way. Covering shit in sugar doesn't make it any less shit.

Swift is shit but it's replacing obj-c so mac faggots will eat it like they eat the rest of the mac shit.

Dart is shit. It's a project that got OK'd by higher ups in google to keep old fucks around and happy inside of google instead of competing against them doing something useful. It's slow, it has no libraries and it's only used by google.

Go is actually ok, they're keeping it simple, maybe too simple. needs better libraries though.

Rust is actually ok but is starting to get too complicated. It will turn into another c++ because everything thinks they're a clever fuck.

You don't need swift.
Swift is so shitty that even native iOS developers prefer C# (Xamarin).
Kotlin is basically JetBrains' clone of C# and since C# can be effectively used to create server applications (asp.net core), Native GUI applications on every desktop platform that matters (WPF/UWP/WinForms, Gtk#, XamarinMac) AND native mobile applications for every mobile platform (XamarinIOS, XamarinAndroid, even UWP if you insist), it's the ultimate language.
You don't need anything else.
Come to the dark side. Other languages are not important. Share you code wherever you need it, while still being able to write native feeling applications.

The only other language you need is JS for web applications. But who even knows if that won't change soon. C# can already compile to native code, so it will probably be able to compile to well-optimized WASM, too.

Some people aren't insufferable ideologues but programmers, its a nice language with good tooling and pleasant syntax.

TIOBE is not an authoritative source on this. Their methodology is just to search for "$LANGUAGE programming" and see how many results Google reports. Blog posts about programming written by people named Julia, or posts about some other language where they talk about Julia arrays, will inflate the rankings for the language named Julia. Also, the number of results Google reports when you search are an estimate to begin with, not an accurate number usable for data. Basically these guys are full of shit.

This other ranking system is also full of shit but at least it uses actual numbers.
