Advertisement fraud. I own and run and host many websites, several of which host pornographic content for free, these days porn sites don't get much for advertising space even with hundreds of thousands of unique clicks per day so I'm probably going to close them soon.

Advertisement fraud is so easy and so hard to get caught up in that I'm sure many people on this board do it.

I reprogrammed a commercial carwash with a diagnostic option, watered down the wax and soap, and pocketed any cash customers tried to buy a wash with.

Nop. It has nothing to do with SEO. I use bots, some of which are actually computers/phones with dodgy software and cook the backlog to make it look like my sites are getting far greater numbers. Once someone buys the space you make the same bots click on their advertisement and spend a random amount of time... between a couple seconds and a few minutes on their page.

Once they realize they're getting 60k+ hits per day with no sales they tend to terminate the deal.

The machine only accepted cards, what would happen was that people with cash would be stuck in line at the front with a bunch of people behind them and I would have to purchase their wash for them.

What I did instead was run the extra option that didn't actually increment any of the "uses" that would trigger the automated re-ordering of supplies. If I saw the soap or wax getting low with no supplies ordered I would just add a few gallons of water and call it good.

On a busy day I would easily walk away with a few hundred in cash.
