32" monitors

Why are there no 32" 144Hz QHD IPS monitors? There are plenty of 27" ones, and I don't want to have to put it closer to my face than my current 24" 1080p monitor.

Whoa I have 480p have monitor there is oldfags like me

I'm trying to decide if I should get a 32" VA monitor or a 27" IPS, or just wait for them to make 32" IPS monitors.
120+Hz is a must. I can't go back to having a 60Hz panel.

AU optics makes the panels, and the oems just make their model based of their panel. Thus why there is so many 27" qhd 144z monitors. They're essentially the same monitor with some slight variance.

I don't know if this is helpful but here it is anyway. I have a 144hz VA monitor and the contrast is beautiful compared to an IPS. It looks more dynamic. But the motion blur is annoying in games because it works against you being able to see clearly when turning even though the frame rate is high. The blur really does not look bad at all but again it matters in games a bit if you're trying to aim and turn.

But that varies from panel to panel, right? I can't imagine anyone wanting to use VA at all if they all look like this

Currently considering these:

Which should I go with, Jow Forumsentlemen?

Is there any chance they'll start making 32" IPS panels in the next couple years?

Yeah mine doesn't do that. I only notice the blur if I'm in a game playing at high frame rates and I somewhat quickly turn. It makes a noticeable motion blur effect instead of smooth panning. That's really the only compromise over IPS in my experience. There's nothing really obviously bad like TN's rainbow effect when at an angle.

There has to be a market for it that the oems want to buy to resell, and 4k seems to be the standard for 32" monitors right now. 32" 1440p is unpopular because it's a lower dpi than 24" 1080p which is the standard. No one wants to upgrade to a blurrier monitor.

I get 91 PPI for both 1080p @ 24" and 1440p @ 32".
1440p @ 27" is 108ppi.

>32" @ 1440p
> Display size: 27.89" × 15.69" = 437.55in2 (70.84cm × 39.85cm = 2822.93cm2) at 91.79 PPI, 0.2767mm dot pitch, 8425 PPI2

>24" @ 1080p
>Display size: 20.92" × 11.77" = 246.12in2 (53.13cm × 29.89cm = 1587.9cm2) at 91.79 PPI, 0.2767mm dot pitch, 8425 PPI2

Nope, looks like you're wrong there, they are the same DPI. And there is a big market for 32" IPS @ 60Hz so im pretty sure they would end up moving a lot of 32" IPS @ 120Hz+.

Welp, I went ahead and took the dive. I ordered the Samsung C32HG70. This will be my first VA panel (even if it's QLED). Here's hoping it performs well.

Not many people are buying high refresh rate IPS panels because they've been prohibitively expensive for years and cucked by nvidia charging more for gsync.

I've been on the market for the Asus PG279Q for 4 years and it just hasn't dropped in price. I won't buy the Acer XB271HU because of the sexual predator branding, what were they fucking thinking?

Those are actually pretty good I can vouch

Thanks Acer

24" is QHD territory
I couldn't imagine 24"@FHD, counting pixels

why buy bigger monitors when you can buy smaller and sit closer?

I have a big desk and having the monitor at the front means I can't put anything in that huge space behind it. I can't write on anything because there's no room to do that with the monitor at the front.

Total pleb view. Most UI scales poorly and ~91 DPI has been the "default" for a long time. The next jump up that avoids your cancerous noninteger scaling is 4K @ 24" which is ~182ppi.

I use my monitor as my TV, so 32" is the perfect balance between not too big for a monitor and not too small for a TV.
