Windows 8.1 with classic shell.

I remember trying that a few onths ago and the most simple stuff ended up baing a nightmare because of the lack of support win8 always had. Even getting some drivers to work properly was hard. Not to forget the endless crashes. Nah man, 8.1 i abandonware at this point, M$ could not care less about it and it shows in the lack of fixes.

Try installing Windows XP on a modern PC.
