Grayson Watson
Oliver Robinson

in case y'all didn't know, the notepad++ devs have gone full tranny.
Isaac Peterson
Literally what is wrong with regular notepad?
Brandon Gutierrez
geany is available for windows.
It also has more features and almost works as an IDE while still being light.

Visual studio if you don't mind a little bloat. Autocomplete is amazing.
Levi White
I meant Visual studio CODE
Cameron Jenkins

xhmikosr.github.io
Replaces notepad right in the installer. Very lightweight. Does everything you want it to do and integrates into Windows seamlessly. Doesn't get constant stupid updates like Notepad++.
Oliver Miller
and it also supports nfo ansi art.
Nicholas Young
Notepad2-mod
Zachary Lewis
you might as refer people to use Notepad3
github.com
it's updated more frequently
Anthony Thompson
download hex editor and follow this guide

Luis Harris
No I prefer notepad2-mod. Notepad3 is bloated and constantly updated for no reason. IMO, notepad2-mod is the finished version.
Thomas Wood
>notepad2-mod is the finished version
no such thing as "finished" in software development
Dominic Evans
Yes there is. Notepad3 is a fork of Notepad2-mod. Notepad2-mod is no longer developed. It's a text editor. Does it really need a constant stream of updates? All of the added shit in notepad3 is useless, and they actually made the UI look worse.
print "Hello World!"
That is a finished program. FINISHED hello world. You can't develop that more.
Luke Perry
I mean, he's added AES encryption to it in notepad3. How stupid is that? Next he'll add an email client. it's a text editor. All bloat. notepad2-mod is the final version as far as I'm concerned.
Thomas Miller
That is the opinion that led to the development of Windows 8 and 10. Windows 7 was finished.
Landon Wood
Bug: HelloWorld does not translate to my language
Robert Rodriguez
Visual Studio Code is literally the best.
Ethan Williams
compile it in qbasic.
Wyatt Jones
you can blame 8/10 on piss poor management not continued development.
Juan Smith
KATE for windows
Eli Perez
Windows didn't need much continued development.
It's a myth. Software developers try to make themselves useful in the industry by constantly re-engineering everything, over and over again, for no good reason. It's a scam.
Daniel Reyes
This. kate is a godly editor on linux, so I imagine it's just as good on Winblows
Camden Hall
notepad2
James Ross
SlickEdit is an editor not many people know about but is very clean and simple like Sublime but has full IDE features like Visual Studio. Its not free or open source, it costs $100, but it is the most powerful crossplatform editor out there. The history of this editor goes back to 1988 so its not just some side project made by some guy.

Now be upfront about the fact that you're shilling for slickedit or fuck off.
Alexander Price
>Now be upfront about the fact that you're shilling for slickedit or fuck off.
my reasons for liking SlickEdit
1)Sublime is not worth the money and closed source and now dead as everyone has moved to VS Code
2)VS Code and Atom are nice but too slow and now both owned by MS
3)Visual Studio is single platform 7gig bloatware and not worth the money
4)JetBrains offer 100 different version of their IDE that only supports one language, so you have to buy the identical IDE just to use another language
5)your shitty notepad editor only good for fizzbuzzing basement dwellers
Nicholas Morgan
You are like a little baby, watch this.

Either way - have a great day fucknuckle, I've got better things to do than pointlessly argue with strangers on the net.

Jose Cox
I also like notepad2 like alot of the other anons, it's comfy and useful.
Julian King
>>no ctrl+f replace all
Yeah. ctrl-f is "Find" in notepad.
Ctrl-H is Replace in notepad.
Thanks for being a rigid pedantic fuckstick.
