find a prgram you use a lot and look for ways to improve it.

>ended up wasting time browsing Jow Forums
Yep, that's me.

Or just find some shit Americans always complain they’re too lazy to do and just automate that with machines.

What you do want to do?
If you want to build for the sake of it maybe just make random applications to develop skill.
Like clones/ports of games.
Simple applications like image viewers.

iktfb

that was me until 2016

That is because humans do not need anything more, and haven't for a long time. Look at all the recent startups, they are just shit like facebook and so on that make people waste their time.

There is nothing left to make.

I am demotivated to program both at work, and in my downtime.

Build your own OS complete with it's own graphical environment. That's what I'm working on. It should take you years if you wanna make something that isn't dogshit.

Lmao, pussy. Programming in your free time means you can perfect every little thing. No deadlines, no other restrictions. It's just you in front of an editor, nigglet.

There's still no OS on the planet that's as stable and modular as QNX but with sane and easy APIs and development tools and a GUI that never changes.

What happened in 2016?

>tons of free time
>amazing ideas
>can barely fizzbuzz, only graduated in my CS honors program because they pitied me

>Lots of free time
>Decent programming knowledge
>Absolutely plenty of ideas
>Ideas are too difficult for me alone
>No motivation to execute them

>There is nothing left to make.
People have been saying this forever. Thing is, you don't understand the use of something until it's conceptualized AND created.

how is it possible to barely fizzbuzz

>how is it possible to barely fizzbuzz
i'm exaggerating, it's just a roundabout way of saying my knowledge in data structures and design patterns is lacking

what sort of final project did you do for the course?

>data structures
>design patterns
unionically spouting meme shit.
the only thing you need to know is arrays
and as far as design patterns go the rule is keep it simple retard

make hacks for csgo then sell them 20$ a month

pretty sure you need good reverse engineering skills to make hacks.

someone with good ideas give me your ideas ;_;

A good email service. Unlimited aliases with a command line client (no web client). Ensure that aliases and encryption keys are controlled by the user and that the server has as little information as possible.
It's something I've wanted to work on for a long time since ProtonMail is garbage, but it's too large of a project for just me.

gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gtk/issues/233 :^)

>keep making programs that I don't want to link my github which I use professionally

I don't think its possible to be a skilled programmer and not have any projects. I think it means you studied too much CS and not enough development.

>Decent programming knowledge
>Absolutely no ideas

You idea is as limit as your skill. (except those delusional ones).

>Absolutely no ideas that make money
I think it is safe to say that tech startups are very dead.

>no free time
>no ideas
>no programming knowledge

he became a trap

That's what I was suspecting.
