TC is literally the best file manager, nothing can compare to it.

>tfw spent my childhood thinking totalcommander was the only way to browse folders and files
my bro used it all the time so i thought every PC had it

people.ee.ethz.ch/~davidsch/vistafm/

I have an old version of GoldWave I use for simple audio processing that doesn't justify fiddling with Audacity or dBPowerAmp.
I've installed it on so many computers that I literally have the cracked key memorized.

I use Sonique.

Windows 95 search application is literally the best way to search your HD. Fuck indexation.

Could you upload it for us old friend ol pal

EAC.

Sonique, wow. I remember using that in the 90s, before I even heard about Winamp.

I had similar experience thinking Norton Commander was DOS
God I was disappointed

i used sonique but my pc was too slow for it, and then i found soritong, some korean thing, worked like a charm

Because OPL Manager is worthless shit.

Yikes that is one shady url

>Slackware
>Midnight Commander
>Half-Life: Counter-Strike (the CD before 1.6 came out)

damn, same here, but replace CS with the Half Life GOTY with Team Fortress included

I don't have Half-Life GOTY, but I had TF, Day of Defeat, Opposing Force CTF, some old western shooter, CStrike, and an officially published mod called Redemption, all rolled up in one CD.
Shit, the CD key even gave me the entire GoldSrc library on Steam.

emacs

Why would you think that?
>.ch
is Switzerland
>ETHZ
is one of the most prestigious universities in europe
>EE
is the electrical engineering department

Windows 95 also has the most fun defrag tool

Attached: win95defrag.gif (640x480, 14K)

I enjoyed staring at that. Makes me want to get an old pc and try to use it daily

>tfw i remember windows users need babby buttons all over their interfaces

I am dissapoint.
Dos Navigator was the peak, everything else (NC,VC) just normie and meme.

I also had fun watching the blocks swapping places.

Arigato gozaimasu

I just like the way things work in it, and it loads very, very fast.

Total Commander is unique in its features and the customization you can achieve. It's the only piece of software that stills keep me on windows

And it's still being updated after 25 years!

The SFTP plugin can do SCP.

Try Everything.

Foobar

Why would you patch up an old version of a program if you can run an free, 64-bit enabled version derived from its source code?
github.com/Microsoft/winfile

WMP (why nobody mentioned it)

Total Video Converter
Yahoo Messenger
Unlocker
Jet Audio Player

I still using Office 97

Can it open Office Open XML?

How do you get the full benefit out of a two-pane file manager? I've messed around with a few of them but I just haven't found myself using their special features or even using both panes at once often enough to stick with it instead of going right back to
Dolphin
, plus there's a thousand and one different file managers on every major OS so it's daunting to figure out what differentiates one from the rest enough to weigh your decision one way or the other

Not even boomer.

This still exist for searching into Active Directory

Cool Edit thanks to Peter Quistgard

WinDirStat is such a beautiful piece of software. Fast, non-existant filesize and never gives any trouble. Does everything advertised and is free.

What kind of 'free'?

nice

ACDSee, tho. Had it on my 486.
