Which one is better?

Torrenting your own music

This. But if you really have to choose, the answer is Google Play Music.

Social aspect (sharing music and playlists, stats, etc.) and total songs makes Spotify excellent, but it lacks the ability to upload your own library and the Android app fucking sucks arse.

Personally prefer GPM due to being able to upload my own library and have it smoothly integrate with music available for streaming, plus the Android app being significantly better.

Google is fucking it all up by killing it in favour of YouTube Music in the future, which at this point seems to be the worst fucking music streaming service I have ever seen.

Definitely Spotify.
>Same fee,
>more outreach on devices like smart boxes and TVs.
>"Native" Linux client (web based but not Electron, same as other platforms)
>Basic social features (if you have friends).
>Better taste recommendations from their botnet AI and better radio
>Everyone uses it

The only real good thing GPM had going for it was being a great service for pirates. I used to torrent albums and upload them to GPM, and they integrated much better. But this is overshadowed by the fact that Google can't tell it's head from it's ass and has YouTube Music, YouTube Red or fucking whatever competing against it, and your shit can be absorbed at anytime. If you don't believe me, just look at their chat stuff. Allo and Duo was the future and now it's dead. Just like Hangouts. Just like Google+ Messenger. Just like Google Talk.

Soundcloud

Ahem, smloadr. Thank me later.

>paying for music

Play Music just for the fact that you can upload your own shit and fix weird metadata.

Get a computer and you can fix metadata...
