DT1990 are 443e on amazonde rn, allegedly 150 off

Is this a good price for em? Locally they're a solid 600 but I'll at least try them before getting them from somewhere else

Why don't more manufacturers give you a short cable? Even the hd660s don't give you a short cable and promotes to be more "portable" with lower impedances. Instead they give you a really long ass 10 feet cable.

Oh yes my dear, quite pungent indeed.

You cocksucking motherfuckers... i'm gonna sell my hd600's and buy a fucking headphone that isn't bashed 24/7. Your fucking screeching has fucked with my subjective taste.

Thx alot bitches

which headphones are you getting user-kun?

Good, now use that money to buy Stax.

i hope you're buying a dt 1990, the best headphone money can buy!

hahaha lmao

Not sure yet, was thinking the 1990's or maybe i'll just stay with iems for a while. Better to have nothing of value for a while, than buyers remorse.

I wanted to love the hd600's so much, but it's true. It's too low on bass. You can only enjoy so many genre's on it till you wanna listen to somethig more bassy and miss that punch. I'm just not audiophile enough for them.

I like what I'm looking at.
Same for me user. My HD 600 is going to go to the return pile. But technically I can keep it until January 30th.

so many beyer niggers it's unreal

keep hd600, buy cheap ass dt770 un used them for niggerbass music, problem solved

>Not just having one good headphone that can do it all.

It's called Stax.

stax have even less bass than the hd600

You called?

Attached: L300d4.jpg (1500x1500, 268K)

Those are called IEMs.

*clobbers you*
you rang?

Get these shitty boomerphones out of here.

lmfao what are those

Attached: 1540483978505.jpg (1280x720, 871K)

yeah get some ukranian stax
those are bose 501s
...bose was known for crazy engineering

Attached: s-l1600.jpg (1200x1600, 390K)

it sucks only boomers can afford them but they do sound the best

Is this thing any good?
I don't plan on using usb, just optical.

Do It.

Only atom-chan is recommended here frenn

is the knob smooth?

yeah jds atom amp is a tiny bit cheaper too

It only bothers me if the cable is non detachable. There are a plethora of companies that make custom cables for pretty much every headphone that are all generally way nicer and/or a shorter length than stock cable. I dont use stock cables on any of my headphones except for stax because those are fixed

Welp, u got BASS covered

Attached: Apple Subwoofer.jpg (480x397, 11K)

yeah i got momentum 2s and just ordered an $8 replacement cable, 4'
namely because the normal cord is spaghetti and ios, when i have an android. but the cable i got doesn't have a mic lol

lmao
and yes i do, actually. cause i use those for ambience and i have a 12" sub with 8" bookshelves for desk

Yes/no

You're paying a hefty price, the experience of unpackaging should be nothing short of perfection. If the first thing you see - for instance - the cable being too long, it's fucked up. How should i expect my headphones to be competent if the people that were in charge of the cable part were incompetent?

dont buy headphones, invest in research into better hearing

smooth as butter user.

how is it incompetent? nearly everyone who is going to buy full sized open headphones is going to be using them at a desk where you either want a longer cable or don't give a shit

welcome to headphones
if you don't bother to watch reviews you can get fucked
and usually headphone manufacturers skimp on pads and/or cable
idk why they do it, but they do

I can already hear well into the megahertz range. Such is the power of stax.

Dude, you're a drunk Aussie Me! Only I'm Drunk at night. Right now. Why are U drunk during the day?

Get a room you dumb boomers

Attached: 1539477133699.gif (322x322, 1.95M)

ukranian stax still love you even when you don't love yourself

Attached: ab111.jpg (1600x1200, 232K)

I can make-do with a 1.2m cable easily at a desk, i don't see the point of anything longer than 1.5m. I'm not gonna plug them in the tv and sit across the room.

my hd600s came with a purple velcro strap attached to them
...i appreciate the seller's addition there. cable is way too fucking long.

>Don't use your time-labor transaction to benefit yourself
>Fund my shitty research project instead
neck it.

Ukraine will be annexed and I don't need slavic knockoff stax

what if they're better than stax >.>

Thinking of getting the Sony xm3 coming from Ath-m50x, thoughts?

Audiophiles please don't answer this:

I bought a AKG K712 Pro and was thinking of driving it from my FiiO E10K. Is this going to be the ideal set up or are the audiophiles right about Amps making a difference? It's more than loud enough for me to listen to things comfortably.

Twice as long as it should be.

exactly

nigga u dumb as fuck

Attached: 1544230538758.jpg (1000x900, 84K)

712s are easy to drive
e10k will be fine
the dac is gonna make more of a difference than the amp. but you won't need to care.
BUT WHAT IF THEY'RE BETTER THAN STAX

>the dac is gonna make more of a difference than the amp
lol

idk if the e10k has a bad chip or not
im sure someone makes a better dac right >.>

what if a magic unicorn came by and blessed ur system
same chance of that happening

If he has bad mobo interference and noise then yes, that would be the case for easy to drive headphones.

tfw stax incel cant say stax are better >.>
we shall see

Nice, stick w/headphones.

If Ud ever try Stax!

Attached: Satan Obama.jpg (550x347, 21K)

they're all the same
if your motherboard isn't from 1990 that shouldn't be a problem

dang how are 1990 compared to hd600
or stax since you have those there. same thing right?
dacs can have objective better quality than onboard >.>

I have a b350m and the noise floor is absolutely awful, unlistenable without an external dac unfortunately

I just got my father's old receiver that he used to run his full audiophile setup. The HDMI is broken and all I have are some sennheiser headphones. What do I do with this thing?

>>.>
I don't know where you came from but you need to go back.

>.>

>.>
...

i think u need to go back owo

Maybe, still the thing is: if it doesn't bother you (no static noise, ticking, etc) there not an immediate urgency to get an external dac. Amp is what counts.

uwu

>dacs can have objective better quality than onboard
that is literally not true

this is true but mostly amps are gonna sound the same right?
unless it's like a tube amp

isnt it literally true though
the chip makes a different sound depending on the tuning

Attached: 2018-12-08 04.45.21.jpg (700x783, 230K)

the focal elex is recieving a lot of praise, should i pull the trigger?

Attached: 1493203035803.png (645x773, 21K)

no one is tuning dac chips to sound different except sabre and their shitty overly bright dacs

Honestly, 1990s, HD600s and DT770 are all VERY close in tuning. I prefer BDs for bass. But I recently heard the "treble rape" switching from HE400s to 770s, and it made me go to the 1990s. Fuck We Live In Good Times.

Attached: P1020527.jpg (4320x3240, 368K)

I learned it the other way around. If you don't have a strong enoug amp for a hard to drive hp, the sound will greatly differ.

uncomfortable as fuck.
get LCD2-closed instead.

Attached: lcd2-closed.jpg (800x600, 264K)

>HD600s and DT770 are all VERY close in tuning
do you not have functioning ears?

>neckbreaker headphone
>comfortable

Attached: 1523851185510.jpg (680x640, 124K)

yeah thats for hard to drive though

Apologies, I was being Generous - HD600s sound like Beyers w/no sub bass

Attached: DSC00797.jpg (6000x4000, 1.05M)

Yeah ok. But with dacs im not sure, cus i dont own one. I just use my m450 mboard.

Can confirm tube amps make the sound very different though

>t. necklet

stop fapping and watching anime, instead go hit the gym and improve your neck muscles
