In current events 'YouTube' has shown time and time again that they wish to push their political opinions, which is bad because. It was meant for 'YOU' the users.
In recent events 'YouTube rewind' has shown that it is no longer 'YouTube' but just 'Tube'. They stated that they would let us 'The People' and 'users' of YouTube, but they didn't hold their promises.
Rewind is meant to recap the pop culture of that year and events, AND NOT MEANT TO BE ABOUT POLITICS! They have also dropped their supports for YouTubers and trying to bring them down. (ex: PewDiePie vs t-series)
To return the power to the people, I come to offer an idea. 'Tube Tuesday'. In where we boycott the use of YouTube, removing the 'YOU', for the next 2 Tuesdays. (Dec 11, Dec 18).
I would prefer to continue onward for each following Tuesday until YouTube offers a response, but I understand the holiday's are approaching, so I wouldn't blame you for using it when they arrive.
We can do this brothers! Returning the 'YOU' to 'YouTube'. Making it the platform for the people again.
I only watch old hardware reviews and tv shows from my childhood, I'm out of your drama

Youtube Rewind 2020 is going to be 30 minutes of unedited footage of a feminist transgender otherkin screaming into the camera.

I don't give the slightest shit about your politics crap or eceleb dicksucking celebration.
YouTube has removed its user or 'You' by doing everything in its power to prove "You are the product." Its filters cater to businesses, flagging everything including home generated white noise as copyrighted content, maintaining a horrible appeals process that prevents timely video releases, using every kind of homogenization algorithm they can to ensure that only popular channels and videos get more popular, and systematically removing the agency of the typical user.
Boycotting a service that last I read still wasn't profitable is perhaps the stupidest this you can do to combat this. You can't fight namebrand, the best you can do is improve and promote alternatives.
