So I did something stupid years ago with weed while I was a developer and when you type my name into google there is a news article about my arrest from a SMALL local radio station using a wordpress site.
Now, I could try and hack their network but I do not want to do that. I want to know how much it may cost to push that article into google searchs second page. How can I calculate the cost of doing that? Is it not feasible?

How about contacting them?

You aren't and never were a developer. You can't pay someone or something to remove something from Google.

Link to the article so I can save it for all time and mirror it all over the web

I tried, they refused.

I dont want it removed dumbass, I want to place other articles that already exist for my name above it. Basically do SEO for other articles.

>dumbass
you're the weedhead with an arrest on the web, asshole. hope you never get another job

I have a job. Improve your comprehension.

why are you trying to hide the fact that you are a weed dude ?

If the problem only occurs when you type your name into google then don't type your name into google.

All well and good but if my employer found out, I'd be pretttaay fucked. Trying to reduce risk. In my country, the only way they can find out is through the web.

Well this was a waste of time.. Guess my question isnt clear enough or easy to answer.

Is it even legal to have such an article, with your name in it, online? Either you are bullshitting, you live in a shithole or the person who wrote the article is breaking the law.

I broke the law, of course its legal to have article about the court proceedings. Holy fucking hell has this places IQ dropped. What I did may have been dumb but the responses here are fucking brain dead.

If you can Google your name and find an article about your arrest for weed surely you can Google some SEO tricks.

I am asking about this exactly. I want to know how I can calculate the cost of paying someone to do this for me. Its only a problem if you search in my region, 200 km radius. It isnt a problem if you search from any other country. Its completely hidden then.

We're not your personal army, if they find it explain the situation to them. If they don't find it then yay. Either way you're most likely gonna get caught hiring a hacker and then the court proceedings from that will really fuck you up.

If you could read, I said I did not want to hack their site. I was looking for other advice. Thanks for the input anyway. I am well aware of the dangers of hacking their network, which is doable since I physically live near their offices and could possibly infiltrate their network but I have no skills in that department beyond bare network skills for dev.

Just ddos website until they take it down

You are not as clever as you think you are.

kek, final option!

I am human. I have crippling self doubt normally actually. Its why I liked weed. It helped me switch off.

I think it may be worth it to try Fiverr. They have SEO services, namely link building, on there that I've heard are worth it. Some guy got his site to spot 1-3 for the keyword "New York SEO" and I think it cost him $500.
Now you're trying to do this with a way less competetive keyword; your name.
Keep in mind that your local radio station's website is probably scoring super high in searches made from their area. That means you may have to promote other articles that are also local to ensure that they can compete with the radio station in local searches.
Honestly and unironically hope it works out for you.

Thats a great idea. Thank you so much. Yes, it scores pretty high in my local area, but youve given me a lead here. Thanks again!!

NOTHING TO HIDE NOTHING TO FEAR

Why would you care about your privacy unless you're doing something wrong, user?

change name lmao

I did something wrong, therefore I have something to hide.

You can buy some gigs from fiverr to rank a website (buy backlinks) to a website you want to rank.
There is no sure way to rank a website, but you can try 1-2 gigs and push one site up at a time and experiment how it works.
That's all i can tell you about my experience with seo.

Or you can do negative seo to that site by creating shitty links from porn or gambling site but you know that site will get hurt in the end.

Do as you wish

If you are a Euro then you can exercise Article 17 of the EU 2016/679 General Data Protection Regulation (Right to be forgotten).

But judging by your post, you seem to be American. I'd recommend you to go and consult with a lawyer.

well then contact some SEO guy and ask them for a quotation and fuck off

This

Just make more wordpress sites and use google console to index them

How the fuck did you find this? Delete this shit

Goo to upwork or something and pay a poojeet to do this for pennies.

Just make multiple shitty social media sites for your name. Like 20 of them all on different sites. Then link them all together. Then do basic seo for all of them. And keep updating all of them weekly for like 3 months. Eventually you will bump it off the first page and your linkdin account will be first like a normal person.

Would be easy to deal with if you were European

iam european but i dont see how this helps..

Right to be forgotten, certain search results can be removed

not criminal ones

oh, then you're fucked

dont talk rubbish

Pretty simple :
Create a simple website with the exact content you're trying to get removed and with a prior (fake) date.
Then, tell Google about the plagiarism they did on your content and tell them to remove the link (there's a "contact" form for this).
Then, simply remove the website you created at step 1 and you're done.

sounds too good to be true kek
