What GPU should i upgrade to?

I upgraded everything except my GPU, it's an MSI GTX 970 4G and it's showing it's age in games. What should i upgrade to? Should i wait for the new AMD cards?

Wait for the new AMD cards. Leaks have come out that are almost entirely bullshit but it's worth waiting just in case. Besides, what you're waiting for is the chance that prices go down. Worst case is that they don't go up.

Wait for AMD if you want a cheap 2070/1080.
If you want anything better, open your wallet goy, because AMD basically dropped out of the high-end.

stfu you autistic nigger. I have 960 2gb and it works fine for modern gaymuzz. go back to

you do not need to upgrade for at least 2-3 more releases, fuck off

i bet you only play pixel indieshit games

Name one game that is worth a modern graphics cards.

> 2GB vram in 2018

I play KSP with RO/RP0 and arma 3. KSP runs great at 144fps with a bunch of graphics mods but arma needs low-medium to get 60

Any competetive game that i want over 144fps in so i can upgrade to a 144Hz monitor later.

Lmao as expected.

Should have bought an rx 580 from newegg when they were on sale for like $160 during black friday

i'm not from the US so i always miss out on these deals.

If you aren't a brainlet then
upgrade the thermal paste, and thermal pads then overclock and use for another couple of generations.
But you sound like a brainlet, so I assume youd brick your card trying to do that.

he's VRAM bottlenecked you pseud

If you don't know how GPUs work then please don't fucking talk. There is far more tot he calculation than just VRAM size.

Find yourself a cheap GTX 1080. Huge improvement over the 970.

I literally went from that card to the MSI 2070 Armor. I got is for $440. I'm not sure about it being a binned chip or its overclocking ability, but it's 50-60 percent faster. Maybe I should have bought a better version, but I don't care. I didn't start overclocking my 970 until about 2 months ago.
