You can replicate EACH AND EVERY SINGLE ONE of those dialog box types in various places in the Windows 10 UI and in your most frequently used apps (including chrome) in the MOST RECENT BUILD. This is intentional to train the user. MS has always done things like this. Basically very new users will freak out when they see new UI so forcing them to adapt to slightly different looks helps.

it's dwm with lua scripting. I don't need the latter so I don't use it, but it's probably the best WM around to do some real customizing in. FVWM is up there too. you can change things in dwm but the scope is so focused you basically have to re-write it to changes fundemtals like having only having a border on focused windows.

Everyone sane uses spectacle which is mostly better than any snapping solution

Even with third party software it isnt nearly as powerful (and easy to use, I bet) as Windows solution. I'm not a fan of Microsoft, but credit where its due. And apples solution is laughable at best. To me and my colleagues, this is an essential feature for productivity. I guess apple just doesn't know how a computer is used by real people
