The market is saturated already and the only """innovations""" in the last few years have been design regressions (removing the headphone jack for no reason, adding a notch, adding that horrible face recognition botnet that is objectively inferior to a fingerprint reader in almost all cases).

On top of this the prices are rising faster than the hardware improves and there are literally hundreds of android alternatives at this point that fill all the aforementioned gaps often at a lower price.
