Window buttons on the left or right?

Attached: proxy.duckduckgo.com.gif (295x353, 24K)

No buttons at all.

the middle

Right if you're straight, left if you're gay.

Both

right since that's more or less the standard everywhere except apple.

What the hell is that weird thing in your quick reply window?
I think you may have some malware injecting ads.

left since we read from left to right

None. Waste of space and time

no buttons at all

it doesnt matter, as long as you are not using any of the OSs on the pic

This, I can't remember the last time I closed a program this way. I generally middle click the window from the taskbar

Multiple workspaces + right click > close

Buttons are only there for aesthetic purposes

first post best post as always

OG windows classic buttons because those didn't need to fuck with your GPU to work

but that opens another instance of the same program

>Having window buttons
None, fullscreen apps you retard. Keyboard can close them.

If you're on windows 10, you can remap the workspace keys, I use ctrl-windows-left and ctrl-windows-right. You can also disable that shitty blur animation bullshit it does. An extra advantage is now windows themselves maximize and minimize instantly instead of animating.

I use the same hotkeys on GNU+Linux.

Two on the right, one on the left. The true Windows way.

On the side imo

Left for left aligned text
Right for right aligned text.

what, no it doesn't, are you referring to the tab bar?

/thread

man thats based af, what distro?

Right.

Right makes most sense in countries where you read left-to-right. Along the top bar, your eyes begin by being drawn across the information that is unique to a given window and end on the generic UI features present on all windows, ensuring that you always see the new and important information sooner.

Depends if your right handed or left handed. They really should offer both options

This. Who the fuck uses that shit anymore. Gestures or mouse keybinds for window management. This isn’t 1998 anymore

Unix's standard was buttons on left.
Windows standard was buttons on right.

Linux offers both ways. And so does all Unix now.

That's why you put the exit buttons on the right.

it doesnt matter so long as you arent swithing between the layouts for it to screw up your mucle memory

Based and redpilled desu

Why not just use the keyboard command? You're more than likely already typing anyway...

I like my buttons on the left, just a habit from using Unity for years.
A better indicator is if they “rice” their setup. Clear sign of the homosexual
I guess, it's less standard and more just following Windows.

That looks amazing. What window manager and applications are shown in the screenshot?

The right side is the natural place to have them for a culture that reads left to right, because that's where your eyes/finger will be when you're done reading
Of course they should be at the bottom of the window, not the top, that never made any sense

kek
+1

samefoot

I'm more likely moving the mouse than typing

FPBP

this, either bindings or directly clicking the titlebar

one on the left and 2 on the right

Attached: Mac_OS_8.png (640x480, 22K)

probably fvwm

on the right, but doubleclicking the titlebar should maximize too, and doubleclicking the symbol on the left should close too.

No buttons or titlebars.
>left click the icon to minimize
>alt+double click the window to maximize
>middle click the icon to close the window
>ctrl+q or alt+F4 to close the window
>ctrl+w to close the tab
>alt+hold left mouse button to move the window around
>alt+hold right mouse button and drag to resize

>alt + double click
that sounds awkward to me, id rather

There's a different between maximize and full screen. F11 is full screen and desu I never use full screen outside of watching videos and playing some games.

Now: Window controls (buttons) on the right, menu on the left, title in the middle.

Now+5years: Window control (buttons) on the tab button, menu on the left top, title on the left tab button. Protip: Everything will be a webapp.

You can also close a program by double-clicking the program icon in the upper-left corner of the window

are you a faggot?

I use OSX and can't remember if I've ever once had cause to touch the window controls.
