My AU 50 dollar Revonext QT2 have the best sub-bass i have ever heard next to a real subwoofer. Been loving the fucking shit of them and havent even needed to touch an EQ

Just bought Sennheiser HD579 and I want to use my HM5 pads on these. The stock plastic rings go inside of the ear pads, but it won't stick into the ear cups. I've look online and there are ring adapters for this, should I get them? For now I've just brute forced it by wrapping the "lips" of the pad around the ear cups, but it looks ugly af.

Old lake people g93. I already got a partial refund from the seller since I wasn't 100% sure it was the amp even after testing, but I should have pushed harder for a full return. It's VERY subtle though, most of the problem came from the headphones.
On another note, does anyone have links to a good and cheap usb A/B cable with ferrite chokes? Monoprice doesn't seem to sell one and a 6ft. is $6.13 on ebay and I think I can do better than that.

How did you find channel imbalance? I'm super suspicious that my headphones have channel imbalance as well.

A/B testing with a source/equipment you trust is definitely the way to go. If you don't have a separate setup available and the imbalance isn't obvious just by listening, you'll need to do exhaustive testing through cable/ear switching (recording this data is important if you don't want to lose track!)
Also funnily enough I went into the dt880s for a quick cleanup on the right driver and this reduced the imbalance by a lot. Maybe I can actually fix them completely with some patience.

I keep suspecting that my right channel is louder than my left but every time I open the audio file in audacity it really turns out that the sound I think is imbalanced is actually mixed to the right. It's making me think I'm losing my sanity.
