Jow Forumsternet

Jow Forumsternet thread!
Revival edition.

>What is Jow Forumsternet?
Quite some time ago, when Net Neutrality dissapeared in the USA, Jow Forums wanted to make its own Internet dubbed Jow Forumsternet.

The project has made quite some progress and is at a pretty nice stage at the moment. More info can be found in the Jow Forumsternet Wiki: mesh.gentoo.today

>Where is the project?
The project can be found here:
git.gternet.me/gternet/gternet-cli

>This project is dead OP, just let it die
Yes, I know it's dead. Hence why I called these threads Revival Threads. I really think this is a neat idea that has quite some potential. So yeah, please do contribute as much as you can anons!

Read up on the Read Me and the TODO in the repository and study the code if you want to and give any suggestions you might have! Also, if you're unfamiliar with this project, I recommend reading the previous threads that have been posted on the Wiki.

is this another take on a decentralized network where we pretend it's not exclusively used for cp distribution?

bump

P-perhaps... Not but seriously though; it could be used like that but it's not its intention. Read the previous threads for more info!

I really want something like this to take off

It would be cool, wouldn't it? Jow Forums has a habit of starting projects but never finishing them. Hopefully this will be different!

you should have called it alternative internet general tbdesu
