Buy a VPS via crypto. Install OpenVPN on it. It's your new VPN.
Use DNSSec. Use PGP. Use HTTPS.
Randomize MAC, randomize User-Agent, Sandbox everything. Disable JS.
Keep the software on your computer to a minimum.
And, this goes without saying, stay away from Google.

tor can't be reliably backtraced to anything unless an adversary runs a significant amount of nodes and you happen to be using one of their entry and exit nodes at the same time, despite the countless measures done by tor to prevent it.

Wrong. Look up the origin of Tor. They knew criminals would use it, it was part of their plan so their agents use of it would blend into the traffic making it harder for them to be detected. They want as many people using Tor as possible for just that reason.

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux.
