Speccy thread?

speccy thread?

>inb4 your cpu is on fire
It's not. Speccy just doesn't detect temps properly.

lol why?

Attached: Speccyshit.jpg (1080x704, 187K)

LOL I know right! What a dweeb having less than 64gb of ram

wtf your cpu is on fire

>Not having 128GB of RAM

He uses Windows. Yesterday I was using 42GB of RAM between Minecraft and VMs.

Ambient air temp is 26C

Pretty fresh install, haven't gotten around to doing much yet.

Lol ur cpu is on fire.

do you keep your window open?

Attached: speccy.png (1824x656, 280K)

why not?

she*

nope just a good scythe cooler. it's also winter and 30 degrees outside

feminen benis?

>nope just a good scythe cooler
A cooler physically can't cool something below the ambient air temp, because the ambient air is what is being used to cool the system.

My ambient air temp is 25-26C right now, meaning nothing in my PC can possibly be lower than 25-26C because that's already the temp of surrounding air.

That means the air in your room has to be at least 19c, and probably a bit cooler. 19c is 66f, just seems pretty cold unless you've got the windows open or something. Most people keep their house temp at 68-70f. So you're below the average house temp for sure if you're seeing 19c temps in your PC.

Different user but my house is usually around ~20°C so 18-19°C isn't super unheard of.

Why not.

Attached: speccy.png (802x502, 37K)

What the fuck, 22-23°C is cool-normal for me during winter, I sometimes crank it to 24-25°C when I want to warm up...

Then it's misreporting, or your house isn't actually being kept at 20c.

Again, you can't physically cool something below the ambient air temp, because the air you're using to cool the parts down, is itself already at the ambient temp.

I'm not saying 18-19c can't be achieved, it's just pretty unusual for people to keep their house at that low of a temp.

or he could just be canadian.

I like it cool and quiet

i was just playing dota at the time too and had my heater on so the air in the room was probably in the 40's

>my heater
You mean your intel cpu?

really odd because the pc i built someone with an nh-d15 reached 71 degrees in the witcher but my 6700k manages to stay around 67 degrees with a $35 scythe cooler. guess xfr causes that :)

The term silicon lottery isn't a joke.

>probably in the 40's

F or C?
If F, who the fuck has 40F temps in their room and considers that normal unless they're super fucking poor.

>someone with an nh-d15 reached 71 degrees in the witcher but my 6700k manages to stay around 67 degrees with a $35 scythe cooler
There could be any number of reasons for those results. Perhaps the ambient was higher at their place, perhaps their case isn't as well ventilated as yours, perhaps their graphics card generate more heat yours does, perhaps they just got unlucky or have done a poor job overclocking or maybe they just value silence over low temperatures.

I actually have a NH-D15 AM4 myself (paired with a Ryzen 7 [email protected]), and when using the stress test in CPU-z it doesn't even get past 59°C.

it's pretty common. r/amd won't tell you how often the voltage jumps in ryzen cpus. they're good but ayymd fanboys act like they never exceed temps of 50 degrees

not everyone's body resembles a dachau prisoner user

same case (define mini c) same card but with a better cooler (evga) and it's not overclocked at all. zen+ runs hotter than zen

If you think 40f is acceptable then you've gotta be 450lbs+, i'm 190lbs and find anything under 65f to be long sleeves and pants. Under 60f and I'm getting a light jacket, under 50f and i'm wearing a parka.

6’4 221 and i work from home. just wear a comfy sweater and pants

40f is not sweater weather. Even in 50f with just normal jeans on my legs get cold as fuck.

guess im used to it then

Fuck stoves, I have a GPU for my ramen.

I have a jumper on and its 25.3C in my room right now.

Evo 212 cooler, I put the cpu under load to take the screenshot.

>doesn't detect 7700k properly
>detects a 9700k as a 7700

why is speccy so shit

hwinfo.com/
This is a good alternative.

I doubt anyone can get better for less than 240 euros.

Attached: Screenshot_1.png (662x530, 38K)

Because it hasn't seen any meaningful development since early 2014 and is practically abandonware. It still doesn't even detect DDR4 properly more than four years after X99's launch.

Yeah but we don't have HWinfo threads, we have Speccy threads.

What the fuck. Dual socket with cpus from 2010, slow ass ram but tons of it, not enough storage for anything worth using that setup on, optical drive.

probably only being used for shitposting on Jow Forums.

I have a collection.

The main is $290 not counting drives.
The Haswell i5 with GTX 970 is $250
i7 3770 with 7870 is $250
Other two i7 3770's were $200
i7 4770k with RX 270 is $150
2700k and 2600 were both $150.
Dual E5640 was $60
i5 3470S was $50
i7 860 was free

How? Do you ship to Balkans?

I just find shit.

Do you resell or just collect it?

>tfw found out 4.5 is actually prime stable at this low voltage and it's not throttling

A little of A, a little of B.
I have the i7 4790 because I bought this Alienware, swapped the i7 for the i5 4670k that I picked up for $150 with the mobo/RAM/cooler/case, and flipped it for $330.
So it ended up being $90 for an i7 4790, Z97 mobo, RAM, 212 EVO, and Fractal Design Core 3000 USB 3.0.

That's was i5
This was the Alienware.

Got this machine for free initially, so I suspect it might have been hot. Swapped out the i7 920 it came with with the W3690 back before the prices started going back up, so that was like €50.

Granted the 1060 was pretty expensive (€230 or something like that) but the machine came with a 660.

Attached: westmerethoplusoc.png (1217x529, 107K)

25 degrees is fucking hot, though. That's enough to warrant opening a window and sticking a box fan in front of it.

Speccy is a massive pile of shit.

tfw too poor for another ssd

wtf are you using win 8?

>Have 8.1 OS that's bretty good and supported till 23'
>Upgrade to rolling update meme OS with all the forced update crap that is only supported to 23'
Why wouldn't you keep it?

WDDM 2.0+ is honestly the biggest single reason.

List of features in WDDM 2.0 and up that you can't have

>tfw pc is an old piece of junk and can't use any of this
Better video processing is something I'd like, my Sony Vegas openCL barely even touches the GPU when encoding.

Well i can't do anything about your hardware

Overclocked that i7? And is this your main pc?
