It's my local shipping that's fucking slow. It arrived in my country 2 days ago and they still haven't mailed it to my doorstep.

Idol trash here. What's your setup like, user?
I somehow ended up walking to akiba from tokyo today. So, I went into yodobashi and saw some crazy dude in the STAX section. He was listening to love live songs and took a long time, I could hear them from meters away, and it was kinda shameful.
After he was done, I had a chat with him:
- It's hard to test shit in a loud store like that. The somewhat high volume was to compensate for that, but these cans likely sound much better at home in silence at a low volume.
- L300 and L700 sound kinda unimpressive at first, but they're detailed as fuck, esp. the L700, and they sound better as you listen longer.
- L500 sounds better than L300 immediately, but after a short while they're kinda meh.
- SR-009S sounded very similar to HD600 (he says it's his main idolphones) but very, very, very wrong after just a minute or two. It's as if everything fucking rings and blurs.
- According to him, HD600 are much better value than any STAX, but he says that once he moves to Japan (he apparently has such plans) he'll probably get L700 at some point, just because he can.
Turns out he works on some aws cloud shit. He was a cool guy, really.

Beyerdynamic Custom One Pros, they were okay, ended up lost in a stressful move.
Tin Audio T2, really like the sound signature on these since it let's me cruise from string quartets to modern pop garbage and both sound nice. Wife washed these so I have an opportunity to get some new headphones.

I can't in good faith recommend qc35s because their sound is so terrible, but if you really want good ANC (which is the one thing they do well) I could sell mine to you for a reasonable price.

STAX are nothing special, they have their unique house sound and that's it.

I'm not a fan of Beyerdynamic's house sound but they're okay. Shouldn't have bought the super high impedance model, if you hadn't, the amplifier would have been unnecessary. The DAC is likely useless

Chrome is ugly.
Multiple sources say the 600o version is the best version and all the frequency response I found were of the 600ohm model.
My computer sounds like shit compared to my phone and could only power my friends dt990 250 on absolute max volume and again sounded like shit compared to his amp(magni I think)
