it's pretty nice. It has a few annoying quirks, though. Like it can't set a different viewmode by folder and switch from list to icons automatically, and some stuff I forgot. I only use it for images, most of the time I use dired.

I'm using PcmanFM currently because it is light on dependency. Peazip can actually dub as a windows-like FM if wanted.
By the way you can view image thumbnails directly from a terminal if the terminal emulator supports escape sequence for displaying images. Sadly emacs doesn't support it but there are patched version of tmux and screen that support it.

I'd like a very basic, regressive theme, that looks like win9x or OS/2 with some modern sesnibilities, while working correctly with programs like gnome-disks, which has a modern design approach and ends up looking weird.
