It just works

macs don't have swap memory?

I've been using OSX since release and have never seen this screen. Did you turn off swap memory or something? (and are you somehow running Mojave with like 2gigs of ram?)

>Having less than 128gb of ram on 2018
What are you? A ram-let?

They do, but at 62GB, it probably filled up his hard drive

Why is an application using 62gb of memory?

So it can just work.

my nigga asking the real questions

just waiting for the anime samefagger

>Spotify 61.87 GB of memory
Hmm.. Is Spotify on macos is a electron app?

Electron

Because Spoitfy is fucking retarded
In reality the memory use is alot less because macOS is pretty aggressive with memory compression and most of the garbage was compressible

I saw it on Reddit. I was also curious about this and it seems like a common issue. I found at least 5 posts with the same problem in a 10-second search.

>le itoddlers btfo maymay!

Because when the song ends, the next one plays but they don't delete the object making a memory leak. So about 60+ GB of data was streamed and Spotify just leaks finished songs in hopes that you will reboot often.

> tldr pajeet programming

It's obviously leaking memory

I've never had something like that happen in either Windows, Linux or Android with Spotify.

Do you never shut down or stream for days?

there are macs with 62+ gb of ram?

ITODDLERS BTFO

yep, this one's going into my apple basket.

Eh not really. I tend to listen to individual albums, not the infinite playlists.

Like clockwork. Based.

so this is the power of javascript

Isn't Spotify owned by Apple now?

That's the mother of all memory leaks. Impressive it go to that point before the system called uncle.

This is the correct answer.
Spotify is nigger-tier.

OSX is really good these days at memory compression.

unleaked ram is wasted ram

Unironically this.

software issue like that has nothing to do with os or hardware

It's also programmed by absolute fucking idiots. There was a severe bug awhile ago where it was constantly shredding disk IO apart from faulty sql checks, writing over a terabyte of bunk data a day over itself.

You should go back there. Faggot.

>too poor to afford terabyte nvme pcie ssd for swap
