I see it as extra that's why. Not something necessary.

Why is AMD bad when it comes to CPU's?

bump, why is ryzen bad....

Performs as well as Haswell and the CPU costs nearly as much as an entire Haswell system.

Of course it's not good, it's at best average. If you built it out of mid-tier components, what did you expect?

Good PC, lemme bring a microscope to rate your penis now.

you spent money on an optical drive

yet you opted to decide that solid state storage is optional

did you just hop out of a time machine from the late 90s? like... you've used a computer in the internet era, right?

I like using DVD-R's for storage. It's good cheap storage.

You pass, Tualatin masterrace

The 4790 is around 10% faster than a 7600k in multithreaded.

An external hard drive would be so much more performance and cost efficient than that. And probably would last much longer - most optical media are crap for long term storage when used with consumer-tier recording hardware.

ignore these retards its a good mid range system, an SSD would be nice

I keep hearing this but even the CDs I burned in the 1990s still work fine

and now try to find a 4790 for under $150

You're just incredibly lucky.

No. Slow RAM with Ryzen, no SSD and a shitty graphics card.

>extra
The most significant performance increase you would notice is the switch to an SSD

How about a 4770?

I did.

Sandy isn't even miles behind a 1600, while a R9 290 is miles ahead of a 1050Ti.

Looks like a decent build. Disregard the SSD faggots. Yes it would be nice to have one but it isn't mandatory. If you're happy with it it's fine.
