>tearing on Linux still exists in 2018
How is this allowed?
Tearing on Linux still exists in 2018
Stop using shit drivers and start using composite managers.
GNU/Linux*
funny meme
either enable tear free for xorg or vsync on your compositor. do NOT do both
tearing on computers handled by retards*
Speak for yourself, I don't have tearing.
I don't have tearing, haven't had since kernel v2
>tearing on Linux still exists in 2019
ftfy
>There are plebs who are not using Wayland
It's entirely your fault, OP.
how do I switch to wayland on linux mint?
Turn on tearfree
All devices support turning it on.
only do this if not using a compositor
Trannies took over Linux to tear their anuses and make dildos brown.
da fuck?
I know.
However, I don't seem to have it here in 2019.
Ask nvidia.
Use wayland nigger
Does it still force 60Hz?
Nvidia
That only happens on GNOME because GNOME is retarded.
>I can't install compton: the post
Every fucking distro/desktop environment combo I tried gave me screen tearing issues. Then I got Xubuntu and installed compton. Everything is perfect now, not sure what the fuck was up with everything else. Maybe it's because I have an Nvidia graphics card.
>What is force full composition pipeline
Just got done with a round of distro hopping because of this exact issue. I don't know what OpenSUSE does but it's the only distro I've found where Plasma5-X11 doesn't tear on portrait monitors.
Only on KDE.
I always had tearing on nvidia with more than one screen too, but its fine with amd and intel gpus.
Well, i guess thats what you get with shitty proprietary drivers
>Doesn't want tearing
>Xfce
lol
retard
Yes hello and is the person posting the meidos here today?
