Does it kind of seem like a waste to you? I can barely tell the difference between 1080 and 4k. I doubt I'll be able to tell the difference at all between 4 and 8.

8k downscaled to 4k, produces real 4k. That's the real benefit. We didn't even have decent 1080 content until 4k came out.

Does microled has particularly low pixel pitch? Because that's the main drawback right now, much more than resolution itself.
