Your hardware probably isn't fully supported yet. Usually this is due to hardware companies making closed-source Windows-exclusive drivers for their products, resulting in Linux devs having to reverse-engineer those drivers, which can be a time-consuming development cycle. In that sense, it's to be expected that new hardware won't be supported right away; indeed, it's not a problem of Linux not supporting your hardware, it's a problem of your hardware manufacturers not supporting Linux.
