It feels good being a linux user.

No worries friend, everyone has to start somewhere.

Start seems fun, we'll see about the future!
Thanks for the heads up!

Thought so.
Debian for the win uaaaaa!!!

congratulations user. if I might offer some advice, don't waste your time with tiling WMs and ricing; you'll be more productive with a full-fledged DE if you do real work

Thank you user.
Sadly, I got no clue what is full-fledged DE so.. bad news for me.

good work user
now uninstall that pos distro and install gentoo

But user, isn't Gentoo that useless distro which is just a waste of time?

I want to install a debian netinstall because my work uses an apt bsed system, but I enjoy arch and void too much to switch.

A fully featured desktop environment, as opposed to minimal pajeetware like Xfeces on which on real work is done. And don't even think about just using a window manager

I heard that i3 is really good..

I installed Gentoo today bros. My Suckless rice and GNU/Emacs is all up and running and it's glorious.
Is this peak comfiness? What comes after this, EXWM on Slack?
i3(gaps) is popular, but dwm+st+dmenu is the patrician choice.

it's ok, pic related is me

Why would I use dwm over i3?

what's that on the left?

Op said Gtop so maybe that

i remember middle school too

You're a geek now. Congrats!

Suckless stuff, including dwm, is configured in source.
This sounds like a pain, but in practice allows infinite customisation and great extensibility.
The Suckless site also has a tonne of patches, so you can pick and choose which functionality to add, and can adapt stuff to do whatever you want.
My only gripe is that dwm doesn't play nice with Steam; the mouse focus messes up :/

i3 and dwm are hard to compare 1:1. The only commonality they really have is that they are tiling. I like i3 because you can setup and define workspace layouts. DWM is, by definition, not supposed to do that as it is dynamically laid out.

I like i3 more, overall, but both are great

It just took me an hour of tinkering to get Witcher 3 gog version running on antergos why did neofetch and gtop take you hours?
