he said he is new to linux, he never used apt or pacman there is no way he can use these as base to decide what to do
just remember to check hardware compatibilitie first so you dont end up with, a non funcional computer. like no ethernet, or something like that

Ubuntu based on Debian Stable, an enterprise grade server environment. Manjaro based on Arch, a bleeding edge distro meant for testing. Just install Kubuntu user. Don't listen to the arch-fags.
