Anons, is it fun posing as Intel shills screaming?
It's all so tiresome.

>Zen 4 won't have CPUs in powers of 2
Just fucking kill me already.

We don't need to. There's aplenty of these C-U-C-K-S on this site (not just this board in particular).

I'm going to wait forever.
Maybe until something like

>stacked DRAM
>chiplet GPUs capable of 144Hz UHD gaymen with stacked HBM*

Why wait when you can buy it now, and then easily upgrade later? You're literally c-u-c-king yourself by "waiting", like Intbeciles do right now.

I find it hilarious how amd shills are trying to hype this up as some kind of "victory", when both platforms are absolutely fucked and still vulnerable to meltdown and spectre. All you need is one vulnerability and that's all there is to it. Intel is like a swiss cheese right now, but it doesn't suddenly make AMD secure when it has vulnerabilities out in the open. Watching this debacle is like seeing enemy ship crews cheering over whose ship is sinking faster. Hilarious.

I'm in a bit of a pickle right now. I can't update, because my hardware just barely does what I need it to, and I can't afford any slowdowns. So I'm just gonna have to deal with these vulnerabilities. I haven't had problems in the past though, since I stopped updating Windows for years now. I don't trust MS to keep my copy of windows 8.1 stable. Also, I do not like keeping personal info on my compy, so if I do get hit, the damage should be minimal.

I just wish these assholes would stop racing eachother to the bottom of the trash can.

Meltdown on AMD? Source please?

As far as I know AMD did not cut any performance corners like Intel and is not vulnerable to meltdown.

Redpill me. Should I get a Ryzen 3700x or will DDR5 go mainstream next year?

Attached: 1545772870574.png (549x413, 90K)

DDR5 won't go mainstream until 2022 at the earliest.

I'm going to take your word for it
3200mhz ram should be fast enough anyway

Don't need to "take word", just see this techpowerup.com/255826/intel-sapphire-rapids-brings-pcie-gen-5-and-ddr5-to-the-data-center

>when it releases sometime in 2021
>2021
>strictly only data centers
>adoption from data center to mainstream usually takes minimum at least 1 to 5 years

>3200MHz ram should be fast enough anyway
3200MHz is the bare minimum of what's "acceptable", these days. Real shit starts at 3800MHz and higher.

>6700k
>32gb of ram
>solid motherboard
>matx case

no way im spending $400 on new hardware just because of some chicken littles

Okay, so after hyper threading was disabled. It’s a choice.

The i5 8400 doesn't even have hyperthreading, you're losing performance no matter what.

LEL LEL LEL LEL LEL LEL LEL LEL TOPPEST KEK INTEL BABIES ON SUICIDE WATCH! INTEL IS FINISHED! FINIIIIIIIISHED!!!!

>Using mitigation patches
Half of the attacks are easily avoidable, or mean jack shit if you are attacked, if you just manage yourself properly.

don’t believe this especially when i haven’t seen a difference yet with my patch

Attached: 1558260673751.jpg (1196x676, 673K)

Where’s this screenshot from? I see it’s from reddit

AMD is vulnerable to only 2 variations of spectre, both of which require local administrator access in which case you are completely fucked in another manner.
Incel is open to about 24 variations of spectre, and many others.

It's a 6c/6t. There is no hyper threading in the i5-8400.

It's from one of the previous threads where several anons posted personal testing results while also providing proofs.

LMAO it’s from some fucking weeb Redditor from R/Ayymd. Nice fake screenshot you fucking clown.

>tfw it was just me pasting together two user's screenshots in paint on my junk ass FX-8350 rig

Attached: Untitled.png (789x475, 66K)

>It's a 6c/6t.
It's a 4 core with 5-th core "disabled" and HT secretly added on it. Hence the "6 core" in diagnostic/benching software. A literal scam.

>updating your browser
>updating your OS
>updating your CPU
Lol fucking newfags I fucking swear

My FireFox 56.0 with Windows 7 no service pack and any/and/or/all mitigations disabled runs as fast as a CPU 8 years newer now.

Suck my dick.

Check dates before you shit post, cocksucking Intbecile.

Attached: DED.png (370x339, 983K)

Google and Firefox have mitigations for these. Just don't visit sketchy sites, keep it normie as can be

My old as fuck x5650 at 4.6Ghz does everything I need it to do. Maybe 7EUV+ will be worth the money.
Currently, a $250 motherboard and $500 CPU and $350 of RAM does not justify my needs.

>Upgrading to new hardware doesn't matter!
That X5650 has to be sucking so much power at 4.6, every one of these X58 hexa xeon videos I see has a gigantic cooler on them when overclocked to 4.5ish because the TDP is just so high to get 1000+ in cinebench R15

I have two lines going into my house
One of them only has a super secure and locked down cheapo PC on it for things like paying bills.
The other internet line is connected to a rock64 that has a hard drive hanging off it. Torrenting shit onto there. If this is clean of viruses, as best as I can tell, the hard drive gets transferred to my gayman/compute PC which isn't connected to the network and has no security at all on it. That's where I do my CPU grunt work, anything that needs to go back out to the world is just transferred back to a machine with an internet connection and published that way.

>500$ CPU
>350$ RAM
How is it there, in 2017?

The first post was on May 17th, it was by some random. Wow nobody on Jow Forums Jow Forums a well-known AMD shill board WOULD EVER make anything up. Retard

75C on a 212Evo using 1.35Vcore (real volts to the core after droop) during video rendering.
It's a Xeon you peasant. The best of the best.

You really think a brand new 12 core is going to sell for $350?
You poor, naive, dumb sad little cuck.

>You really think a brand new 12 core is going to sell for 350$?

Attached: 75667tyiyt.png (783x207, 1.24M)

This is how you know you’re on a payroll. I remember even the most hardcore intel shills wouldn’t even try this hard to convince someone to buy something. They’d shill, and if the person didn’t bite, they’d move on.

Are these confirmed

Tfw won the silicon lottery with my W3680 and have it sitting at 5ghz

They only list prices when it's confirmed by several different sources.

>my 8 month old "leaked" chart
Champ, 7nm is Brand-Fucking-New, and AMD are -definitely- going to price their parts the same as the competition.

I.E., if their 8 core at 4.5Ghz performs the same as the other 8 core at 4.8Ghz, it's going to cost the same (maybe $50 less)

Attached: 1543201660279.png (631x310, 14K)

Honestly I’m looking forward to it. The hilarious irony is most AMDfags are weeb or furfag NEETs who buy AMD because it’s all they can afford.

How hilarious is it going to be when AMD starts charging $250 for Ryzen 5’s and good Bx50 boards are $130+.

I'm on 2600K, you cocksucking mong.

Why shill AMD then

I'm not shilling, but merely stating harsh factual truth of reality. Everything after Sandy is a rehash of Sandy, for more burgers. It's a scam. And Inturd is absolutely shitting itself since the Ivy days. That's why I've been sitting on 2600K since 2012 by principle. It's all over now. In October of this year I'll be building a new custom main station/system from scratch, on 16 core Zen 2. Because I upgrade only in quadruples (x4 RAM/frequency, x4 HDD/SSD spac and/or speed, x4 VRAM, x4 CPU cores/threads, at least x4 overall performance increase).

Brehs, do I buy current a gen AMD or wait for Zen 2? I'm getting 20% less FPS in my current Windows virtual machine using with a GPU passthrough. This shit is ass.

i honestly never ran cpuz when i got my 9900k so i really don't know how much its affected by these mitigation, but if the default cpuz reference is actuate, not that much of a loss. i don't know how badly other intel series are, but at least it doesn't seem like 9th gen is fucked.

Attached: Capture.png (403x402, 20K)

still crushes the 2700x.

Attached: Capture1.png (403x402, 19K)

Depends on your finances and preferences.
If you have money to spend and you're fine with doing it, then buy Zen+ 2600~2700X right now and easily upgrade to Zen 2 later. If you don't have money right now or you don't want to do it via upgrade, then wait for October and get a full combo of X570 mobo, Zen 2, and a Navi. Or wait even further to the end of the year (December, etc) and get THREADRIPPER Mark III (officially called THIRDRIPPER inside AMD).

BUT AT WHAT COST

1. 9900 is 9700 after """""(((full mitigation)))""""".
2. You sure like to boast, Intbecile. Now apply BIOS microcode (((fix))) and shit your pants to oblivion, you cocksucking dumb milking lolcow shit.

I have an 8700k right now. I might just do it so I can get a mATX motherboard and case because I'm tired of my big ass full tower.

MicroATC and mini-ITX motherboards usually come out last in the line after the initial release of a new CPU and chipset, so you won't be able to get that for B550 or X570, but there are some X370 and 4xx mobos out there.
